We got a divorce 🥴
Hey Founder fam—you may have noticed some big changes lately. Over the past few weeks, Rex and I have had a lot of honest conversations about the future of what we’ve been building together. And after a lot of thought and care… We’ve decided to get a divorce 🤝😂 In all seriousness, this wasn’t an easy decision. @Rex Loyer and I are ending our business partnership. We have a lot of love and respect for one another, and Focus Founders wouldn’t exist without both of us. I especially want to acknowledge Rex for the role he’s played—helping me to stay focused when shiny objects hit (yay ADHD 😄), running the daily ETF co-working sessions, and bringing the Accelerator program to life. I appreciate the hell out of you, dude. Thanks for building this thing with me. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀: Rex will continue building his coaching business under the Focus Founders brand name. And I’ll be continuing with this community, but evolving it into something new: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔽𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕤 𝔾𝕦𝕚𝕝𝕕 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱? The Founder's Guild is the natural evolution of what we started with Focus Founders… But with a deeper focus on what this has always really been about: 👉 helping ADHD and neurodivergent entrepreneurs build businesses and lives that actually work for their brains 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲? I originally started this community before Rex and I met, as the ADHD Entrepreneur’s Playground. My vision has always been to help ADHD founders lead lives they love. That is not changing. It’s still about: - The people - The energy - The mission of helping ADHD founders thrive If you’re here, you’re in the right place. We will also continue to offer the 5 AM CST virtual co-working sessions as well as the 12 PM CST in-person Thursday sessions in Austin. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴? - The name → The Founder's Guild - The direction → even deeper into ADHD, creativity, and building a business and life you love - The 10 AM CST co-working sessions will be paused until further notice.

Totally interested, but not sure I can make next Wed.
I did it!!
After meticulously reviewing, scoring, and commenting on 26 grant applications over the last couple of weeks, I just finished serving as a panelist for SIX HOURS. Yes. An all-day Zoom. My brain is officially mashed potatoes. But here’s the win:I read every application. I took detailed notes. I showed up prepared. I stayed focused. I contributed thoughtfully. And I finished strong. For someone with an ADHD brain that would much rather start 12 new ideas than sit still and evaluate budgets and narratives all day, this feels huge. Executive function? Activated. Hyperfocus? Harnessed. Professional stamina? Apparently unlocked. I’m tired. I’m proud. I’m probably not making any more decisions today. ADHD entrepreneurs--we can do hard, sustained, mentally intense things. We just have to care about them. Now I’m off to reward my brain like the champ it is.

ATX Entrepreneurial Volunteer Opportunity
Greetings Y'all! Are you looking for a fantastic volunteer opportunity as well as a great entrepreneurial learning experience? Be a counselor for Camp Enterprise sponsored by the Austin Rotary Club! As some of you know, I'm a Rotarian and my club hosts this event every year. For over 40 years, the Rotary Club of Austin has hosted Camp Enterprise — a unique, all-expenses-paid experience for high school juniors who are curious about business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. During this immersive, three-day camp, students work in teams to design a real business concept. With guidance from successful entrepreneurs and Rotarian mentors, they’ll explore how ideas become companies as well as how leadership, collaboration, and communication bring those ideas to life. Think a weekend-long Shark Tank! Basically, you’ll have an all-expenses paid weekend. It’s a great opportunity to hear from successful and savvy entrepreneurs, work with youth and give back to our community! You can ride up to camp on the chartered bus with the students. All meals and snacks are provided. You’ll sleep in one of the gender-appropriate dorms—yes bunk beds! I did this last year and it was truly amazing to see these groups of HS juniors create, market and sell/pitch their new and innovative product. I will be one of the advisors and judges. I also have a bottom bunk reserved. HA! This year, I plan to come up Sat. morning and leave after the final judging and lunch on Sunday afternoon. Talk to me if you have any questions or want additional info. I can give you nitty, gritty and what to expect. There is fast WiFi and you’ll have time to explore the camp, hike and get your own work done. More info here: https://rotary-austin.org/get-involved/camp-enterprise/ https://rotary-austin.org/event/2026-camp-enterprise/ If interested please email both Leslie Bagby and Greg Cavitt. They are fellow Rotarians coordinating the volunteers and helping run the event. Please tell them that you are part of Focus Founders and heard about this from Jeanine Olsen.
