@Ryo Takayama I agree with you. I think it does depend on the personality. In my opinion, some kind people may have a little bit big ego, they may be a bit obsessed with seeing kindness as a good quality that entiles them for recognition and to change others. While some other kind people already know their worth, and therefore don't need so much recognition from others. They also know their limits, so they don't have the intention of changing others and therefore seldom get disppointed . So your friend is a truly kind person. He is kind, but doesn't suffer.
