Did you ride? I did threshold; 3x18min @ 94%. I also massively screwed up my breakfast afterwards! I forgot I added a double portion of Weetabix as a single serving in Hexis. Cue me being ravenously hungry come lunch short over 50g of carbs I should've refueled with! Audited my whole custom food library afterwards to avoid that in the future.

I may get a new MTB and possibly a fat tire, but the road and gravel will stay for now
Unbound Gravel Logistics & General Chat Thread
@Marc Wildeman has created an amazing spreadsheet for those attending & supporting Unbound Gravel. This is a fantastic asset to share details on lodgings, available vehicles and the number of people that potentially can pass out food/bottles/high fives on the day :-) If you are attending Unbound have a look, add your details and lets all support each other for this epic ride! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DjvroKZSnejzK4hfBfRJimbSXBRfgJNsw06wXrnbyRQ/edit?usp=sharing Also, lets use this thread to put any questions around the event into.

@Vern Loebs Jr, @Mary H, @Blair Corey, @Steven Murray, @Austin Darden, @Wesley Hinkle Great call yesterday with @Brian Johnson regarding fueling, setup, support stops etc during long unsupported events. It got me thinking about how to reload a rider, are we using musettes, full on stop and reload. This will certainly be an individual decision, so with 4 months to go practice makes perfect. I do plan on getting some Bankers boxes(cardboard, disposable), to organize each rider at the stops and will try to be in front of the support station
Weekly wins?🏆
What was the biggest win you had this week? I’m still rehabbing a shoulder injury. The temptation is to chill on everything but I’m staying focused on diet and controlling what I can control.

Stayed consistent, even saw my ability to hold power "feel" better
Bike size confusion
I'm getting ready to make a purchase on a Lauf Seigla and looking at sizing. All measurements point toward a small frame, but when looking at geometry, my current bike stack to handlebar measurement is bigger than their XL. Current bike is based on Retul fit measurements (fitter is a bad listener, but followed the Retul system so maybe not bad data). I'd have to really really build up the stem to get to my current measurement, and had a thought that going up to a medium would reduce some of that need. Asked Lauf and they say stick with small. I know Lauf states it has a more aerodynamic/race geometry, but why am I so far off and need so much buildup? Or maybe the overall geometry will reveal a different fit?? The goal for this bike is to do unbound 100 and then settle into more bike packing adventures, so the race fit isn't high priority but comfort on long gravel days is. Wanted Lauf because the price point is so good. Any other bike so far increases price and weight significantly. Thoughts?

From the looks of it, your set up is built to mimic a city cruiser riding position. I'm seeing roughly a 4" rise in your bar position, and you're also using an adjustable stem to increase it even more if you want. Assuming your not 6' tall plus then the small frame size is correct and whoever builds this out of the box will need to try to recreate that cockpit setup on your steerer tube to give you a more upright spine position.
