Accidental experiment… white vs pink light
So, when we started growing we only used T8 pink lights. We’ve been migrating to the T5 white lights. So we still have both in the grow room. Last Friday we planted a few trays of basil. They go direct under lights for a week, with daily misting. I used the shelves we had available and so some went under T8 pinks and some under T5 white. Well, I was watering today and happened to notice the difference. Quite a bit more germination under the pink lights (left) than the white (right)! They later go under T5s closer to the lights, and all seems to be equal, but I’ll keep track going forward. Fun stuff!

Does anyone produce mustard sprouts? You do the yellow or black? Both?

@Christian Lajoie I have not sold anything yet, I only bought that kind because another grower preferred it. It is good! I like it myself, but it is more expensive. What kinds do you recommend?
Microgreen Smoothie, Anyone?
We drink a smoothie most days- Its a great way to get your greens in! Most days the recipe stays the same: 6-8oz Microgreens (Broccoli, Kale, Red Cabbage, or any combination of the three) *Usually I just split a tray in half, most trays yield at least 12-16oz 1 Banana 6-8 Strawberries (depending on size) I use the "Extract" setting on the Ninja which takes 75 seconds and really gets a smooth consistency even with the strawberry seeds. I do this twice... unless one of the kiddos want one too- then I grab another tray & make more :) What's your Go-To Microgreen Smoothie Recipe?

All these smoothie recipes sound fantastic! In the past I would freeze healthy smoothie mix in popsicle molds and give to my kids after school when it was hot.
