Getting Clients
What have you guys found to be the best ways to get clients - and get your name out there as a trainer? I'm moving back to Slo next week and will start up all of my team coaching etc again since moving back to the Bay Area for the summer and want to hit the ground running and pick up a few clients? Let me know from your experiences!

depends how long the workout is, but if its an hour, do 5-10 minutes of warm up that emphasizes movement and somehow related to the main skills you wnat to teach in the workout, then i personally mix in block drills and CLA type drills (SSG / constraints), and usually end the workout with some kind of conditining

Player/Coach Relationships
How important do you guys actually value relationships with your players? What is your communication like before/after sessions? Do you have events where your players get a chance to know more about you and your personality outside of coaching? I think one thing that separates me from a lot of coaches in my area is my ability to connect to the kids and get the best out of them. The kids who are the most comfortable with me have grown the most in each session because they’re willing to be coached and go 100% every rep. What I’ve also noticed is a big shift in communication/leadership with these players as they won’t hesitate to assist another player when doing drills or playing SSGs. This makes my job 1000000% easier and improves the overall experience for all players. What are you guys doing to connect more to players? Any specific drills or activities you do to get kids to be comfortable enough to be themselves in each session and not afraid to fail? Let me know!!!

best way to connect with players i've found is to talk to them about stuff unrelated to basketball and remember their name! Then in terms of coaching, once you pair positive reinforcement and constructive criticism together, the player will respond well if you've built that base with them

@Joseph Wunder i keep it simple, a player i dont know too well i just ask what they did at school, what they did over the weekend, and players i know I just ask them similar questions but more tailored since I have context on them
