Nomyad's Newsletter – Compliance Update + Seminar Series
Hi Hustlers, Checking in with an important update for all our vendors. I want to make sure you’re aware of a new compliance reminder from DLA regarding shipments, and also invite you to lock in your spot for our upcoming Seminar Series where I’ll walk you step by step through the contracting process. In this update: 1️⃣ Compliance Reminder: DLA notice on tracking devices in shipments 2️⃣ Training Opportunity: Seminar Series – September & October sessions DLA Vendor Notice: Tracking Devices in Shipments The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) reminds vendors that the use of consumer-grade tracking devices (e.g., AirTags, SmartTags, Tile, IoT or Bluetooth-based trackers) in shipments is not authorized unless approved in writing by a DLA Contracting Officer. Applies to: - All DLA vendor shipments - Government furnished property - Sensitive shipments Risks: - Security compromise of shipment details and locations - Added burden on DLA to remove and dispose of devices Vendor Responsibility:If such a device is used, vendors may be required to verify it has been removed from their account. To stay compliant: Do not include unauthorized tracking devices without prior written approval. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seminar Series with Me – Register Now Don’t miss our upcoming sessions where I’ll break everything down step by step. 👉 Register here September Session – Sunday, September 14th at 12 PM EST. LLC works just fine!
Submitting Bid (Non Qualifying country)
When you submit a bid and the country of origin is classified as “Non-Qualifying Country End Products”, does this immediately disqualify your bid? I am curious if it does because how is there purchase history for this contract where the manufactured stated it is made in China.

Your bid being submitted as Non-Qualifying Country End Products will be rejected There is purchase history for China because China was on the Qualifying Country End Products list at some point, but they no longer are.

It depends on the contract size and codes whether the contract is under TAA or BAA. If the contract is BAA, you will face a price adjustment, making your bid look more expensive than a U.S. vendor. So, in your taillight example, if it’s made in Mexico and all traceability and documentation requirements are met, then you're allowed to bid and supply that part.
