📌 Marketing myths we should leave behind
There are still so many “rules” floating around that just do not hold up anymore. Post at a certain time, use a specific number of hashtags, the algorithm is out to get you… the list goes on. What is one marketing myth you think we should stop believing? I know our community will have some fun answers.

@Haleigh Larkin Welcome back, how was Silver Dollar city? I bet Eliot and Pierre have never even heard of it.

@Eliot Payne That would be so nice. On a big ticket item taxes totally change the price.
Marketing objectives - Let’s journey together
This is a group of business owners and marketing professionals, learning together and supporting each other. Would you share one of your objectives? Feel free to add ways we can help.

@Haleigh Larkin feel free to share a career or family objective. The marketing managers do the bulk of the daily work for our businesses and our skool community, we want to support you at every level.
The Slight Edge
Jeff Olson has a famous theory called The Slight Edge. Jeff says daily disciplines repeated consistently over time add up to the difference between success and failure. His book has been one of the most powerful influences in my life. I have come to realize that rather than spending a lot of time on end goals, I need to work on identifying specific daily actions that keep me moving in the right direction. So rather than naming a million dollar milestone, I remind myself I need to follow my daily marketing checklist and select one best-fit client to onboard each quarter. It’s easy to pull together the support staff needed to mange that clear task and the new work that comes from it. Can I hope to have a million dollar year? Sure. But if I fail to do my daily writing and my weekly networking I won’t get there. It is harder than it sounds. It is just as easy not to do it and there are no immediate repercussions when I let marketing slide. But therein lies the magic of the slight edge. You are either moving up or you are going down. This Skool group is designed to help us be more consistent with marketing and to support participants who want to keep their organization on track with the daily disciplines that will get their team to the next million dollar milestone. I’m so glad you’re here.

@Christina Hill I think you were the one that told me about the book. I give a copy to all my interns. The earlier in life, you read it the more power it has.
Get to know your team. Are you a cat or a dog person?

I had a cat named Spot. He was the first born of a stray cat that gave birth in my clothes closet. We connected instantly, a true familiar. This is a photo, not a gif. He could read my mind and conquered our Lord of the Rings chessboard, yet he somehow behaved more like a dog and for some reason, with him gone, I think of myself as a dog person.

@Keith Byler, D.O. Lol, not Spot❣️
🎤 🎧 Are you listening or speaking?
In marketing, do you think listening to your audience is more important than speaking to them? 👉 For example, is success more about sharing your message… or truly understanding what people want first?

Oh that's a good one. Chicken or the egg kind of thing. I can't wait to hear what this group has to say.
