After last week’s meeting with Alexi, I had to rewrite my goals, including this week’s. Now I’m focused on hiring my first virtual assistant. I’m working on the right interview questions and setting clear expectations. I’ve interviewed sales agents before, so this will be interesting. The job post will go live by the end of the week. Ill post on the good, the bad, and the ugly! Off I go 😂
Consistency Over Perfection: Why You Don’t Need a Perfect Product to Win
Perfectionism is paralysing for many entrepreneurs who delay launches or new initiatives because they believe everything must be flawless. We have covered this in this community at great length. The Hormozis & Alexi often stress the importance of taking action and iterating along the way, rather than waiting for everything to be perfect . They share that consistent effort and refining the process as you go, rather than launching the “perfect” version of a product is key. If this resonates with you please Get involved feel free to share something you launched before it was "perfect" and the lessons you learned from it. Context: this is an extract from my notes, I’m currently doing a sprint implementing ( the rule of 100) as taught in this community.

IMO, perfectionism is overrated. I like how success has shifted from “get everything perfect” to “go out and figure it out.” For me, perfectionism was just an excuse not to start. But once I got into sales, it stopped mattering. Now, I focus on trying things, then adjusting based on feedback. Kinda love failing 😂🤣

💃 The Woman in the Red Dress: Alex Hormozi’s Lesson from The Matrix
Alex Hormozi tells a powerful story from The Matrix that perfectly illustrates the importance of focus in business. Every day, we face new opportunities. The bigger you get, the bigger the opportunities. And the harder it is to say no. 🚫 In the story, Neo is walking through a crowded street with Morpheus. Suddenly, Neo notices a woman in a red dress and his head turns. 🔴 Morpheus asks, “Were you listening, Neo? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?” When Neo looks back, the woman is gone—replaced by Agent Smith pointing a gun at his head. 🎯 Here’s the lesson: In business, distractions often appear as shiny opportunities. 🌟 The higher you climb, the more attractive these distractions become —the woman in the red dress. 💃 At every level of success, you must learn to say “no” again and again. Alex used to think that once I learned this skill, I’d be done. But the truth is, the woman in the red dress keeps coming back—each time, more enticing than before. Success isn’t just about innovation; it’s about consistently doing what you should be doing, even when distractions try to pull you away. 💡 Focus is your superpower. 🔥 https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7251657559374274560/ P.S. What’s your biggest distraction in business? Comment below. 👇

This is so on par to how my journey began- when I first was introduced to sales, I kept using YouTube university, clicking on ads, and signing up to webinars that I thought was going to “teach” me how to sell. In fact, they did the complete opposite. This was before I’ve spent close to 10k (on junk), that shifted my focus from what was ACTUALLY working (I was avg 4 closed deals per month- this was in wholesaling RE), to set up my tracking track around one “closing” line, or these complicated ebbs and flow that didn’t add any value to me or the homeowners. After watching some videos from both Leila and Alex- and consulting with my manager at the time, I doubled down on my previous scripts/talking track and everything just fell into place. Simplicity and focus is one hell of thing, I’ve seen insane growth from this lesson!

@Alexi Drouin completely agree! I’m signed up to multiple news letters but they’re focused on one thing- advertising. Although I don’t tend to apply everything I’ve learned thus far- there are plenty of benefits of knowing what others are doing- what’s working or isn’t working for them. There’s a saying I really like; “a wise man can entertain multiple ideas, without being seduced by them”.. or something along those lines 😅
❓ How would you structure a curriculum to fulfill the grand vision?
Leila Hormozi envisages an acquisition.com school as part of her grand vision for business education. Consider this goal and propose a structure for a curriculum that aligns with this vision. What key subjects and practical experiences would you include to ensure comprehensive business education? Keep your proposal between 25 to 100 words. Share your curriculum structure in the comments, then interact with fellow students by replying to 2 comments and liking 3 comments that provide novel perspectives.
