Hey @Uzair Janjua yeh what issue are you having with it at the moment. What conversion are you trying to track?

@Uzair Janjua Hey so if the traffic is going to their main website you will need to add the Google Tag to their site then set up tracking on their site. For the forms i would have them redirect to a thankyou page which you can track events for fairly easily. For a chat bot it depends which one you are using most chat bots can/do send event data to google analytics which you can link with your google ads for conversion tracking.
Google ads advice needed
Hey everyone, I am running google ads for the first time for a client, he has a roofing company. My main question is if I should put the different services he offers (roof replacements, roof repairs, etc.) into two different ad groups in one campaign, or into two campaigns entirely? If I do two different campaigns should I just split the budget 50/50? If I put the services into different ad groups I am worried that it will spend more money on one service, but I am worried splitting the adspend on two different campaigns will affect the results negatively. Thanks in advance.

Hey @Sean Martin yeh placing all the different services as ad groups instead of campaigns is generally the way i will start most accounts off. The only reason i would split to seperate campaigns early is because i want more control over each budget, i want different service areas for each service for some reason, the client specifically wants to push a service with a lower search volume.
Google Ads, and Keywords
Hey, and thanks also @Cameron Walker What a legend that guy is... In our call last week we spoke about keywords, and for a niche of emergency dentistry, we spoke about having just a few keywords. I've looked at the ad account im managing, and realised that the historic ads guy, has like 100+ keywords. And it got me thinking, why was that so different. It also seemed to work well, as far as I can see. So what is the difference? My thinking is, 1) Option 1: Few keywords approach: Makes a tighter set or keywords and is more precise. We don't waste budget and are precision targeting. 2) Option 2: Many keywords: a bit more of a sweeping approach, will get more but might not be as precise. If I want to go for mass leads and have a higher budget then 2) would be better and 1) if not. Is that correct? Maybe one cold run 2 campaigns, one with the 1) approach and one with the 2) approach. The 1) approach could be a higher budget.

@Uzair Janjua Hey Uzair, Yeh cheers for the @ they do get lost so it helps a tonne. Yeh depending on the goal you set for a campaign Google is showing you towards what they believe is the best choice to fulfil that goal. Depending on the campaign your creating those two pmax choices are essentially the same thing.

Hey @Uzair Janjua There are lots of choices out there. I build websites as well so i use the tools most familiar to me so using wordpress/elementor i find very easy to work with and build landing pages with. Its also very fast for me to whip up sites on a subdomain for clients if i dont want to mess with their main website. Lots of people also use other tools such as GoHighLevel which i have seen some amazing landing pages created on as well. There are also lots of other tools such as unbounce or leadpages which can be an easy way to start too.
Delegating Google Ads Management?
Is there anyone here with experience hiring people to help manage client Google Ads accounts? I’m currently running one account and have been asked to take over another when I leave my current workplace. More are likely coming in through referrals, and at some point juggling them all will get in the way of growing the business. I trust myself to run the Google Ads well, but I’m unsure about delegating to others. I’ve looked for guidance on this but haven’t found much, so I’d be interested to hear from anyone who’s been through the process and how you handled it.

Hey @Dylan Fernando Great question all around as giving up control isn't always an easy thing to do. With any new staff taking over Google ads and running the accounts the most important thing is to have clear outcome goals as well as clear processes and SOPS for your team to follow. Instead of managing the entire account turn it into a regular cadence to overview the account with your team and set the direction for the next week/month. Have regular feedback weekly/monthly from your staff on the metrics and encourage them to give their thoughts/direction the campaign should take over the next period. If your struggling with handing off having them show they know what they are talking about and aggreeing with the plan they create will build your trust in their skills.
How to test conversions are being tracked?
Hi, just a question regarding conversion tracking. I have taken over a historic account with campaigns and landing pages. I have made a new campaign, and the ads are going to an old landing page (which I think looks pretty good) which has perviously had conversion tracking set up. How can I check or test that the conversions are set up correctly? I know which buttons on the page should lead to a conversion event, but trying to work out if they are currently working. @Cameron Walker Would really appreciate your advise on this

Hey @Uzair Janjua You can use the GTM preview mode to test any conversions that are set up in there or you can use GA4 debug mode which is also very good at showing actions on the site as well as which events are firing. Google Tag Assistant chrome plugins is also a very handy tool for checking installtions are correct.
