Front Porch Healing
A lot of packing. A lot of heavy lifting. A lot of sore muscles, aches and pains... But the majority of our move is done – well minus the whole unpacking, setting up and making a house a home kind of stuff. We have one more quick overnight return to LA tomorrow just for some final odds and ends but right now, today... I'm having a coffee on my new front porch. Taking a break...enjoying the silence (so different than all the city sounds in Los Angeles). Here, I am listening to the birds chirp. It's bliss!

Hell yeah I am a major birdwatcher. Robin's are my little signal from God that I am in the right place. Idky or how I came to that. Just the little birds told me.

@April Cookson a Robin surprised me today, i think it's the same one from years ago. (They all look the same just some bigger then others). He flew down and was like boo there you are. Looked at me came closer and did the head turn and side nod. I love it but also can't belive that no one has caught on that north east kansas has the best weather. Pss don't tell anyone.
The HuRU - Halfway through the week check-in 🙌
Who’s celebrating wins right now? Doesn't have to be huge. No need for "life-changing" either... Just the small progress, the kept promises, the things you almost didn’t do but did anyway. Those count. They always count. Drop one win in the comments — big or small. Let’s stack them together 👇

The Team Is The Magic
We love pretending success is powered by one lone genius at the top. The mastermind. The wizard. The person with the “secret sauce.” But let’s be honest... Most “geniuses” look a lot less magical without a great team behind them. It’s not the genius that makes the team look good. It's the team that makes the person look like a genius. Behind every impressive leader is a group chat full of smart people, honest feedback, bad jokes, and someone saying, “Hey... maybe don’t do that.” 😄 That’s the power. And the exact same thing happens in community. The right community makes you sharper. Funnier. More confident. More willing to try the thing you’ve been overthinking for six months. You don’t level up alone. You level up in rooms where people push you, back you, and occasionally roast you just enough to keep you humble. That’s HuRU. Not a stage with one star — a room full of people making each other better. Who in this group has helped you think bigger, laugh harder, or take a step you wouldn’t have taken alone? Give them some love below 👇

Need Some Music from the Crew!
Who wants to live out their packing/moving vibes vicariously through @Shannon Koss and me? Or maybe even some UNpacking vibes through @Sarah Geelan? Shannon and I are in the final stretch of packing and cleaning before our move this coming weekend and I would definitely love to have some motivating music to help push through. Add some links to your favorite HIGH ENERGY songs. Fill this space up with tunes to move to.

Reach Out & Touch...☎️
Ok HuRU Crew… let’s talk about the thing we all know we should do... and sometimes avoid like it’s a surprise phone call from an unknown number 😅 Outreach. Calling all community connectors, business builders, networkers, and professional conversation starters: this is your moment. Because behind every collaboration, client, friendship, opportunity, and “how did we even meet?” story… there was one brave human who sent the first message. Outreach isn’t magic. It’s not slick scripts or perfect timing. It’s just deciding to be a normal human and say hello — consistently. And yet... we’ve all stared at a blinking cursor thinking: 👉 “Is this weird?” 👉 “Do I sound salesy?” 👉 “Should I rewrite this for the 9th time?” So let’s normalize the awkward and learn from each other. What’s your top outreach move? Your secret sauce? Your “this actually works and doesn’t feel gross” strategy? Drop it below. Help the rest of the crew send the message they’ve been overthinking all week 💬 What’s your outreach weapon of choice? A) Personalized DMs (thoughtful sniper mode) B) Comment-first engagement (slow burn rapport) C) Voice/video messages (high risk, high charm) D) In-person conversations (raw, unfiltered, no escape) E) Something totally different (but since you asked nicely, I'll tell you) Bonus: which one makes you sweat a little — and why? Let’s make outreach less scary and a lot more fun. 🚀

I always prefer in person or a direct call stating I'm just touching base with them about....
