Let's Talk About Childhood Trauma & The Inner Child - Part 1
I’ll be sharing a series of posts on childhood trauma and the inner child. I'm breaking it down so we can understand how it shapes us today. By definition, the inner child is the part of us formed from the moment we were conceived, through all our growing years (baby, toddler, child, teen). It lives in our subconscious and carries: 🍬 Messages we absorbed before we could fully understand 🍬 Memories and emotions from our past 🍬 Beliefs that still influence us today Why does this matter? Because many of our fears, anxieties, or even perfectionism as adults actually come from this inner child still trying to protect us. Understanding this is the first step to healing. Here are the list of adult behavior that are most likely rooted from childhood trauma. 1️⃣ Emotional triggers Small things set off big reactions, because they remind your inner child of old pain. 2️⃣ Anxiety & fear Constant worrying, fear of abandonment, or fear of failure rooted in feeling unsafe as a child. 3️⃣ Avoidance Pulling back from people, places, or opportunities that feel overwhelming — even when they’re safe now. 4️⃣ Relationship struggles Difficulty trusting, fear of intimacy, or people-pleasing to keep others from leaving. 5️⃣ Perfectionism The inner drive to be “good enough” or earn love through achievements. 6️⃣ Low energy & burnout Carrying invisible weight from the past makes even normal life feel exhausting. 7️⃣ Negative self-talk The harsh inner critic that repeats old messages you once believed as a child. 8️⃣Feeling stuck Struggling to make decisions or try new things because fear feels safer than change. 9️⃣ Mood swings Anger, sadness, or irritability that comes out stronger than the situation calls for. 1️⃣0️⃣ Difficulty setting boundaries Saying “yes” when you mean “no”, fearing rejection if you put yourself first. Which one of these do you notice in yourself? Or maybe in someone close to you? You’re not alone on this journey, I can relate to almost all of these. So let's learn together on how to find peace between inner child and your adult self. Stay tuned.

It's Not an Accident!!
✨ Sometimes souls are meant to collide for a reason. It’s not an accident. It’s destiny. When you think about it… what are the odds that this exact collection of people would end up in the same corner of the internet, in the same season of life, building something bold together? That’s not random. That’s alignment. HuRU is more than just another community... it’s proof that when the right people gather, sparks fly. 👉 Ideas get sharper. 👉 Energy multiplies. 👉 Friendships form that feel like they were always supposed to exist. So if you’re here, you’re not just passing through. You’re here for a reason. And that reason matters. ⚡️To connect. ⚡️To share. ⚡️To build. ⚡️To collide - in the best way possible. Destiny brought us here. Fun (and maybe a few memes) will keep us going. Drop a GIF below and remind the room why you think you’re here.

When you are invited to do something...
To do something that will challenge you, that is an opportunity. Don’t overthink it. Accept. Say yes, embrace the challenge, and see where it takes you. I’ve learned that the opportunities that challenge me the most are the ones that create the biggest breakthroughs. Say yes to growth. Accept the challenge. What are you saying YES to?

I've been thinking, what if greediness is a good thing? Shocking enough? But let me explain where this silly thought came from. What if we able to do single thing and gain multiple benefits. This way of thinking can turn boring activity into fun and rewarding. Here are some of the activities that have multiple rewards. 1) Walking 🚶‍♀️ not merely for weight management, but also for cardiovascular health, mental clarity, and emotional balance. 2) Reading 📖 not simply to acquire knowledge, but also to ease the mind, reduce stress, and spark creativity. 3) Cooking at home 🍳 not just to cut expenses, but also to nourish the body and cultivate connection with loved ones. 4) Journaling ✍️ not only recording thoughts, but also improving mental clarity, emotional release, and creative expression. 5) Yoga 🧘‍♀️ beyond flexibility, it enhances strength, mindfulness, and stress management. 6) Playing with children 👶 not just bonding, but also burning calories, sparking joy, and seeing the world with fresh eyes. 7) Listening to music 🎶 not only entertainment, but also mood regulation, memory recall, and inspiration. 8) Cleaning/decluttering 🧹 not simply tidying space, but also reducing anxiety, boosting focus, and creating a sense of accomplishment. 9) Walking in nature 🍃 not only physical activity, but also grounding, lowering blood pressure, and improving mood. Let's chase all these rewards! Can you do me a favor and add on your own list?
