Let's Chat! Coffee Hour❤️
Thank You @Tyra Smith for joining the Coffee Chat for today! 🌟 Coffee Chat Recap: “Nursing Compassion Under Pressure” 🌟 During this week’s Let’s Chat Coffee Hour, Asha and Tyra had a heartfelt discussion about the emotional toll of nursing, sharing Asha’s experience with a police break-in and how society often expects nurses to be endlessly compassionate—even off the clock. 💔 The conversation naturally shifted into career transitions and self-care. Tyra explored case management and school nursing as potential paths for a better work-life balance, while Asha provided insight into the responsibilities, titles, and benefits of these roles. Together, they unpacked the realities of delegation challenges, teamwork, and communication in nursing practice—highlighting how vital it is for nurses to ask for help, set boundaries, and find clarity in their next career steps. 💬 The session ended with a reminder that connecting, learning, and sharing our experiences with other nurses helps lighten the load we all carry. ☕️ Join us for the next Coffee Chat!🗓 Thursday, October 16, 2025⏰ 9:00–10:00 AM (via Zoom) ➡️ RSVP inside The Nurses Lounge

These chats are so important. I take alot away from our chats and apply them to things even outside of work. This was well needed. Thank you Asha!❤️
Clarity
This challenge has definitely brought me some clarity. This last week of the breakthrough challenge has challenged me to push through even when it seemed impossible. And to also let go of things that are out of my control and move forward. I also learned that I enjoy being outdoors and taking in how beautiful and refreshing nature is. I hope this challenge has brought clarity and perspective to us all. Continue to pour in to yourselves my fellow nurses ❤️

WFH
If “training from home” is anything like WFH…I take it back, Issa NO FOR ME!! 🫠🤷🏾‍♀️

I worked for a home infusion company once and the orientation/training was remote only. I literally retained nothing lol. I’m more of a hands on learner.
Spark Joy
Hmm…I want to make it a point to do something for myself this week. Hoping to make it a start to a routine, at least monthly! I’ve had these on my to do list for weeks now 🫣

Nights In are great too. You don’t have to put much effort in to it lol. You can just kick back in your nightgown/moo moo/lingerie/whatever you choose to wear. Get a big bowl of popcorn and binge watch Beauty in Black.
“You got this!”
When I think of “empowerment”, I think, “you got this!” Whether it comes from self talk and confidence from within, or being motivated by those around you, it’s a boost of “can do” attitude! No matter the situation, being empowered gives you the courage to 🗣️GET STUFF DONE🤌🏾

@Kesia Green When I’m on a work assignment away from home, I typically request 1-2 weeks off during that assignment. During that time I either take a vacation or come home and spend time with family and friends. It gives me something to look forward to. Which help push me through the work weeks.
