@Asha Taylor ooh that’s a good one!! Never looked at the grocery store like that. My problem is I barely eat. I’ll keep that in mind but turning down coffee and sweets 🫣 When is the next pinnacle climb?
Reflection
So listen, after 30 days, I had hoped to make so many changes. Turns out all I did was self reflect. Although it didn’t come out like I had hoped, I can see the impact on my perspective. They say it takes 30 days to create a “habit”. Here’s to hoping this 30 days has been eye opening enough for the next 30 to be more proactive!!

What small win can you celebrate today? 😃
As nurses, we often wait to celebrate only the big milestones—a promotion, a degree, or a major achievement. But the truth is, it’s the small wins that keep us going day after day. - Did you finally take your lunch break before 2pm? That’s a win. - Did you advocate for your patient and see their care plan improve? That’s a win. - Did you manage to step outside for a breath of fresh air on your shift? That’s a win. - Did you make it through a tough week and still show up for your patients with compassion? That’s a win too. Celebrating small wins matters because it: ✅ Builds resilience during stressful seasons. ✅ Boosts morale and helps prevent burnout. ✅ Reminds us that progress is still progress, no matter how small. 💬 Let’s open the floor: What small win have you celebrated this week—personally or professionally? Remember: you don’t have to wait for something big to happen to feel proud of yourself. Every step forward counts. 🩺💙

I don’t know about a small win but I made it to work on time ALL 5 days this week!! That’s a pretty big win if you ask me #iykyk
We are on the home stretch!
In our last week of our first Burnout Breakthrough Challenge, I challenge you to understand that this is not a race but a marathon. Pour into yourself, and dedicate meaningful time to meet YOUR needs because without you, none of what you do is possible. We need you, but more than anything, you need yourself ❤️ Self-Care Activity: Schedule a time to relax with a good book. • Physical Activity: Walk for 30 minutes, 3 times this week. Winner will be announced on October 1st! 🥳🥳 let’s go! Keep motivating others and you’ll be surprised how you in return motivate yourself along the way 😊✨

Three nursing things I’m proud of: 1. Trying out a clinical mgr position although I hated the politics of it (always said I’d never want to do mgmt but pushed myself to at least try it) 2. Keeping focus on clinical needs despite pressure to make productivity priority 3. Continuing to keep the “new nurse” mindset in knowing there’s always more to learn!
Spark Joy
Hmm…I want to make it a point to do something for myself this week. Hoping to make it a start to a routine, at least monthly! I’ve had these on my to do list for weeks now 🫣

Both good points…it’s only Wednesday and I’m thinking I need ALL OF THE ABOVE!
