Review and SOTD - D&G Light Blue Capri in Love
A fresh, woody, spicy summer flanker in the Light Blue line. Perfumer Alexandra Carlin created it as a Mediterranean inspired scent evoking Capri's sea breeze, sunlit cliffs, and green figs. Notes are black pepper (spicy, warm opening),green fig (fruity sweet, slightly unripe/green character), patchouli (earthy, woody depth with some marine/salty undertones.) It leans aromatic/fruity woody rather than the classic citrus aquatic of the original Light Blue. It’s fig forward with a peppery spice and earthy, salty marine vibe. It's fresher and brighter than heavy woods but stands out from generic "freshies" thanks to the prominent green fig. Sillage/Projection is light to moderate. It’s easy going and not overpowering, ideal for daytime in warm weather. Longevity is typically 6-8 hours, which is solid for an EDP in this style. It’s best for spring/summer, daytime or casual evenings. Versatile for office, vacation, or everyday wear without being too casual or formal. I really enjoy the unique fig note combined with the spicy aspect of the pepper, the smooth and well blended quality, happy Mediterranean feel, and value when had on discounters. A standout flanker! If you enjoy green/fig fresh scents with a light spicy edge, this would be a strong pickup for your rotation.

SOTD: YSL ICED 🧊 cologne
Iced cologne recent pickup and Love this one! It’s the only one from the YSL line I own but I have a bunch of samples of the other ones and enjoy this one most. Clean classy that’s fresh and reminds me of LV imagination with the tea note. Performance is great, not too strong but just right. Pressurized atomizer that I don’t like. The bottle I think looks nice though! Enjoy your day smelling good!!😌

Glad youre enjoying it!
Getting more organized!!
Yesterday was the day I finally "Had Enough"!! 😎. I realized that I haven't been giving my full bottles enough love, as I have SO many samples that I have been trying to get to. The more I try the more that shows up!! Especially if I god forbid, buy a full bottle of something at least 10 more samples show up! A great problem to have I know. But the lack of organization gives me a bit of anxiety. Yesterday I put all of my samples into ziplock baggies to be sorted through and categorized at a later time. This allowed me to go back to my closet and "nerd Out" on what I currently have and How to best use them. A month ago or so, my wife and I took our collections down to the basement (finished) so that we can figure out a better way to display them. Since our collection (we both are collectors) has gotten too big to display in the main area of the house without changing a lot of things, so we agreed to do something downstairs. I proceeded to make 10ml decants of each full bottle of mine and had these 3d printed holders made on Etsy. They have worked out great. They now sit in my closet for an easy opportunity to grab and enjoy them. That however, didn't sit well with my OCD, so I decided to label each holder. - Spring/Fall - Fall/Winter - Spring/Summer - All Seasons This way I can rotate based on season and keep the ones that are appropriate in good view. This also helped me realize that I am much heavier in Fall/Winter scents than other seasons so it will give me a great place to adjust my sample testing in the future and help me focus on Full Bottle conversions that will better round out my collection. I will start going through my samples and put them all into large Ziplock Bags labeled the same way so that I can work samples into the proper rotation. Sorry if this is a bit too much for the group, but I am interested if others have some type of "Plan" when it comes to organization and sample testing. Have a great Monday Everyone!!

@Jeffrey Plotka Understandable. My shelves are full!
Better aventus style dupe
I have Mont blanc Explorer and generally like the DNA. I'd like to buy some kind of stronger version of the DNA. I'm deciding between afnan supremacy collectors edition, which I know is more of a aventus absolu, and Club de nuit pure perfume. Would get 100ml sce and 150 ml club de nuit perfume for the same price. Which is 50 euros in Germany. Any personal experience of you would help. Thanks brother's!

CDNIM would get you the performance; I have the Parfum. I also have CE, which is closer in profile to Absolu, and would also give you the performance you're looking for. It just depends on what profile you like more. Id say since you have MB Explorer, go for the CE. Its good quality for a middle eastern frag.

@Philipp Becker Similarities in the underlying DNA as Absolu is a flanker. But, its richer and more complex.
Individual collections
ok fellas it’s time for a little humble brag post. How many fragrances do you all have in your collections? I’m trying to get an idea of where others are as I start my fragrance journey. Also how often do you wear each fragrance? How do you cycle through your collect?

@Craig Richards Unfortunately, no. I just save it to my home screen and it loads in the browser, much like using app.
