Peptide Price Taken Down… Again 🫠
Good morning everyone. If you tried to use the price tool on PeptidePrice.store this morning, you probably saw a message saying hosting was temporarily disabled. I want to be fully transparent about what happened. My hosting provider β€” based overseas in Iceland β€” flagged the site and asked me to provide additional proof that I don't sell peptides directly. Which is crazy, because you know PeptidePrice.store is a price comparison tool. That's it. If you've been around for a while, this might sound familiar. A couple months ago Netlify completely took down the site and tried to hold the domain hostage over what they called "dangerous activity." That forced me to migrate everything to a new provider, which is the one that just gave me trouble again. The good news β€” the site is back live. I've already looked into additional hosting options to make sure we have backup plans in place so this doesn't keep disrupting things for you guys. Building a platform like this in the peptide space comes with challenges that most people never see. Censorship, deplatforming, hosting issues β€” it's a constant battle. But I'm not going anywhere. This community and this tool mean too much to me to let a hosting provider shut us down. Thank you for sticking with me through all these bumps along the way. It means more than you know. ❀️

@Derek Pruski South Asia hostings might give you less / no trouble. My 2 cents.

@Lisa G Yup, and that money goes to top executives and politicians, not to the scientists and doctors researching these molecules. I have friends working in biotech as scientists, they get paid peanuts!
Podcast Recommendations
Does anyone have any peptide podcast recommendations? All the ones I have been listening to seem to revolve mostly aroud GLPs.

Quick Poll: Do You Guys Care Where A Company Third Party Tests?
I just wanted to run something by the community because I'm seeing more and more new third-party testing labs pop up due to the demand in the industry and the slow turnaround time from the most popular ones. After doing some more vetting for new websites and current companies on the price tool, there are a couple of new labs that look very reputable. However, they are newer to the space. Would you guys care if a company third-party tested with a newer lab vs some of the most popular ones like Chromate, Freedom Diagnostics, Janoshik, MZ BioLabs, Vanguard, etc.? If I ever went this route, and a company was using a newer lab, I would do my own research into them, get in contact, and make sure they were truly a reputable third-party testing facility. It's inevitable to happen at some point. However, I just wanted to get the community's thoughts.

New labs establishing is normal given the demand unless one acquires others for scaling up ops. We don't want that either as that creates monopoly and conflict of interests. We know such entities at the f3d level, don't we? πŸ˜‰ Lab + community vetting. Some researchers don't consider a vendor even with sophisticated testing if there's no community vetting.
🧊 New Vendor Alert: Glacier Aminos is Now on PeptidePrice.store
I've been sitting on this one for a while, and honestly, I should have added them sooner. Glacier Aminos has been doing testing the right way for a long time nowβ€”net content, net purity, endotoxins, and conformity on everything. This is one of those companies that actually prints the net content directly on the vial and includes a QR code so you can pull up the COA. No hunting around, no guesswork. I've been talking with the owner, Steve, for a while now (you might recognize him from TikTok), and we were waiting for the right moment to make this official. That moment is now. Their inventory has some really interesting stuff, including fully tested bioregulators at prices that are hard to beat. I was actually very surprised with this unboxing, and everything looked amazing. Full unboxing down below. If you want to support another hard-working guy in the space, Glacier Aminos is definitely a good option. One thing to note: Their site is login-gated due to new payment processing rules, so you'll need to create an account to browse directly. If you just want to see what Glacier has to offer without creating an account, you can check out their full inventory on PeptidePrice.store. Shop Glacier Aminos: https://glacieraminos.shop/?ref=DEREK Code DEREK gets you an additional 5% off Welcome to the list, Glacier. 🧊 P.S. These are also the best prices I've seen on bioregulators in the space πŸ‘€

@Brandee Brown FWIW their base prices seem lower than others I have used with similar testing and products. Usually I don't need things in bulk and use only a few things, so I look for someone with a variety in the same place. They had everything I wanted. Also after seeing your additional discount, I reached out to them, and they promptly refunded the discount I missed. I've a good feeling about them.🀞 @Derek Pruski

@Derek Pruski Janoshik's founder recently said in an interview that endotoxin / sterility failures in lyophilized products are rare in his testing experience but quoted small non-zero percent of failures he has seen. WDYT?
MOTS-C & Weight Training: A Practical Timing Guide for Researchers
I've been getting a lot of questions about MOTS-C and weight training lately. I've touched on this before, but let's break down the practical application so you can get the most out of your research. Note: This information is for research purposes only and is not intended as medical advice or guidance for human consumption. The Short Version Don't administer MOTS-C right before resistance training if the research goal involves building or retaining muscle tissue. Here's what the timing should look like instead: - A (Morning Training Protocol): Train β†’ Post-workout meal β†’ MOTS-C administration later in the day - Option B (Most Optimal Protocol): MOTS-C first thing AM β†’ Fasted cardio β†’ Resistance training in the afternoon Why Timing Matters: The Science Made Simple MOTS-C is an incredible energy and metabolic peptide, but it works through pathways that can interfere with muscle growth if timing isn't dialed in. Let me walk you through the mechanisms. 1. AMPK Activation (The Energy Switch) MOTS-C is a potent activator of something called AMPK. Think of AMPK as the body's "energy conservation mode." When AMPK is activated, the body prioritizes: - Burning fuel for energy - Breaking things down (catabolic processes) - Improving metabolic efficiency What gets deprioritized: - Building new tissue - Protein synthesis - Growth processes The problem: Muscle growth requires the opposite state. You want mTOR activated (the "building mode" switch), not AMPK. These two pathways essentially oppose each other. When one is on, the other is suppressed. In plain English: MOTS-C tells the body "let's be efficient with energy," while muscle building requires the body to say "let's invest energy into growth." Both can't fully happen at the same time. 2. Protein Synthesis Interference After resistance training, muscles have a window where they're primed to absorb nutrients and build new tissue. This is when protein synthesis rates are elevated. MOTS-C's AMPK activation can directly blunt this protein synthesis response. If MOTS-C is circulating during that critical post-workout window, it essentially puts the brakes on the very process that training just triggered.

Timely post. 🫢 Looks like MOTS-C followed by workout isn't a must. That's good as some researchers can't workout in the mornings.
