@Austin Gray This is great, thank you for putting it together! In the video, you mentioned that you'll share the flyer template from Canva and also the loom video you sent to the Fiverr contractor. Are you still planning to share that info?

@Austin Gray Looks like a great fire mitigation job! I’d love to see the numbers on that job if you’re willing to share.
1 Lesson Learned From $90M Business Owner
I'm getting to work directly with an owner who runs a $90M / yr marketing business he's taught me so much... one thing I've learned from him: TRACK YOUR METRICS!!! he called me out on my lack of tracking VERY early on I've also seen how SERIOUS he takes this in his business "it's the only way you can scale," he says So, this post is encouragement to each one of you to DIVE INTO YOUR NUMBERS! "you should know them like the back of your hand," is what he continues to tell me after spending a week in Austin working with him to launch a new Land Clearing Business, I came back and went to work like a madman to track all of our leads Here's what I'm tracking: 1. where are the leads coming from? (paid vs. organic) 2. are the leads good leads? (are they actually interested in our service?) 3. how many site visits are we scheduling from the leads? 4. how many quotes are we sending from the leads? 5. how many jobs are we winning from the leads? 6. what is the average revenue (and Gross Profit) from each WON job? 7. what is our Cost Per Lead? 8. What is our Cost Per Acquisition? if you want my Metric Tracking Google Sheet, I'm down to share a template comment "Metrics" below and I'll make a copy and share the link with you

Last week we finished three jobs (fire mitigation and two tree removals). It was a great week. The highlight was we got to try out some 'new to us' methods of using wedges to fell trees against a lean. We started the business last July so I'm feeling really happy with how the business is progressing. Last year was absolutely nuts trying to figure out every single part of the business. Now I have some experience and confidence about estimating jobs, hiring labor, talking to customers, etc. which all feels really, really good! Week revenue = $18,220 Week profit = $7,510 Here is the individual job breakdown. The fire mitigation job that entailed 1 tree removal, 5' wide by 145' long river rock border that encircled the house and a tree limbing. Job cost = $6170 Overhead = $750 Revenue = $10,670. Profit = $3,750 1st tree removal was for 6 pine beetle infested trees Job cost = $1,090 Overhead = $200 Revenue = $3,550 Profit = $2,260 2nd tree Removal was for fire mitigation Job cost = $2,000 Overhead = $500 Revenue = $4,000 Profit = $1,500

it was hard for me to wrap my head around paying a sales guy more than I pay myself from the biz But looking back, this was the BEST decision I have made for our business He has been ripping quotes this month He's more focused than I was (less moving parts) He's better at talking to customers He's better at the sales process As the leader of the biz, it's hard to let go of the ropes sometimes Especially when someone is better than you at something But I'm learning that my job is to simply put the right players in the right positions And let them eat! Little over halfway thru and he's sent $592k in quotes will we close them all? Unlikely But I do know one thing... you can't hit the ball if you don't have "at bats" would highly encourage y'all to recruit your sales rep if you're an owner still doing sales

Wow, this is amazing! You should feel really proud of what you are building. My fire mitigation estimates are much smaller than yours but I'll get there!
