Transitioning - Where Mindset has absolutely changed my life.
In life, and in business, we all have choices. Mine became of survival. What was holding me back? Well, being in rehabilitation was one thing, but coming out of nights with very little sleep, in constant pain, and a lack of clarity and focus. I have been training my mind, and managed to remove all high-strength prescribed drugs, and now, almost 180 days alcohol free. The past few months - Now on crutches (*short distances only), when told I may never walk again. This week sees me break over 150 miles in my wheelchair of my now 300-mile challenge. NOTHING will now deter or waiver me from my plans to grow and scale my business endeavors, and work towards building a foundation to support others after trauma, and also work towards a property portfolio in my retirement - *I will never retire. 🤣 I continue my charity endeavours and have been nominated for the Pride of Britain Awards, which is an honour, and I am truly humbled. Thanks to @Mike Greene and a few in the community here I gained inspiration to pick myself up (*; literally) and push on with life. What's holding you back? Whatever it is - you CAN achieve it!

Amazing!
👋 Hi everyone, I’m Jane, VAT extraordinaire, and I genuinely love VAT
Not something you hear every day, I know, but I’ve spent over 26 years specialising in VAT, and I still get excited when a new case hits the courts or HMRC drop a new policy note (I know, I need a hobby... but here we are). I run a specialist VAT consultancy business based in Doncaster, but we advise clients across the UK (and beyond), usually brought in when things get a bit messy, however, I'm also called upon earley to assist clients to save thousands of pounds especially in the world of land and property, international VAT and the charity sector. 💷 💷 💷 What makes me a bit different? Well, not only am I friendly and approachable, I come from a funfair family 🎠 🎢 (literally, my first business lessons were learnt on the waltzers and I'm a dab hand at the space invaders 😂). That background taught me to speak in plain english, not tax gobbledygook, and I’ve built a reputation for making even the most complex VAT problems feel simple, structured and solvable. You’ll usually find me knee-deep in planning permissions, lease clauses, or restructuring a TOGC at 10pm on a Tuesday (voluntarily!), but what I really love is connecting with other professionals who care about doing the job right. I'm looking forward to learning from the brilliant people in this group, and happy to be a sounding board if you’re ever unsure whether you have a VAT problem or need VAT advice. See you in the comments 👋

The Genius of Disney
When a company like Disney creates magic moments and obsesses over the little details, it’s not just theatre... it’s business genius. With $100bn turnover and a $212bn market cap, they prove it works. These are the lessons I brought back from Disney University that every entrepreneur should know. https://www.skool.com/thegrowthsyndicate/classroom/e8650cc4?md=7fc521f0a8ce4b3fab5819d4a1d613f9

Trust Your Gut
One of the biggest reasons for my success is simple: I’ve spent 20+ years as a behavioural profiler. I use it every day - in relationships, in business, in negotiations, in reading a room. It has been one of the most powerful skills of my life. But here’s the truth: We’re all born as behavioural profilers. Children can’t understand words, but they do understand tone, micro-expressions, energy. They instinctively know what’s really being said. As we grow older, we’re taught to pay attention to the words instead of the signals. We stop trusting the very instincts we were born with. That’s a mistake. How many times have you said: “I had a feeling…” “I knew something was off…” “I should have trusted my gut…” For me, my gut is my first reference point. Then I go and find the facts to back it up. Words lie. Energy doesn’t. 👉 So here’s the challenge: start tuning back in. Honour what your instinct tells you. Don’t dismiss it. Have you ever trusted your gut and been proven right? Or ignored it and regretted it?

Hi All, You are ALL welcome (with family/friends) BUT if you are coming to the 6th Sept and have yet to make a donation to the cause (see link below) please could you do so when you get a minute as Its the only way i will know confirmed numbers…. (Although I know the people who can’t make it that have made a donation anyway 🙏🏻)… Juls and I will cover ALL food, drinks and Entertainment BUT …As they used to say at Raves in the 90’s: “if your names’ not down, you're not getting in” (on the charity donors list) 😉 ….it doesn’t have to be a massive donation… every ££ little helps but it is a FundRaiser 🤪 I really look forward to a relaxed afternoon with friends, fun and hopefully sunshine (but we have plenty of cover if its not sunny) https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/mike-greene2?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL
