Phrygian Dominant with Cool Delay Setting
Just a Cool DD-200 setting I found and used with the Phrygian Dominant Scale

@Lucas Bryars There you go. I had a feeling. Portrait of Ruin was my favorite.

@Lucas Bryars How nice. I'm not much of a gamer anymore. But a friend of mine who's also into those games say the same thing about SOTN 🧛‍♂️
Put pieces around this Phrygian modeled Motif
Is that Hum distracting to anybody else? I have no idea how to reduce it any further. I made it worse by using the p90 instead of just the Humbucker. But the break up sounded so much better with it on.

Very nice. Love the tone. Also the combination of the chords in the intro with the melody makes for a great hook 🤘 Do you have a favorite mode to play around with?
C Major Pentatonic
Some decent practice playing over a C major to G major backing track. Using the C major pentatonic scale to come up with interesting stuff. Before I was looking at my pentatonic sheet with the pentatonic notes mapped out so I can look at it playing. But after practicing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shape I’m able to play use shapes without needing to look at a sheet. Practice practice practice.

Nicely done Jaime. It's great to hear and see that you're able to transfer between multiple pentatonic boxes without any references. Keep it up! 🙂
Finish-it Friday #5
👋 Heyo! Here’s a creative lick challenge for the weekend. Step 1: Watch the video below. Step 2: Learn ONE of the 3 riff variations - the easy, medium or hard one. Step 3: Make up your own ending for it, record and share it under this post! ❕Skip to 2:19 for the easy difficulty riff. ❗Skip to 4:10 for the medium difficulty riff. ‼️ Skip to 6:44 for the hard difficulty riff. ✨ I'm excited to see what you'll come up with this time!

@Josh Radford Cool stuff Josh. And i can see how the two-string option is a little easier than 3-note per string on acoustic because there's less sustain. I like the ending bit you added with the 7th chord though. Definitely has a commercial-sting or sitcom vibe to it lol. Wish you a great trip to Madrid mate ☀️

@Lucas Bryars Nice. i'd love to see if you can get close to it. The effect i'm using in Ableton is called "Multivoicer". And the pitch is set 12 tones (an octave) down.
What's everyone favourite chord?
If you could only pick one to play for the rest of your life...which would it be? Mine would be an Emaj7 chord, root A string!

Great conversation starter! I'm a little torn between a basic 11th chord and your meat-and-potatoes G open chord. I learned The Long And Winding Road on guitar. And it has a Bb11 if i remember correctly. Such a cool one 😎 And there are so many variations you can do with the open chords. Love the simplicity of We Are Going to Be Friends by The White Stripes for example. It starts on G with some fingerpicking. Any particular songs that come to mind where you use the Emaj7?
