The Power of SYSTEMS Thinking 💭
I was on a clarity call today with @Jesse Niall and he mentioned how one of the things he needs in his life right now is better systems. For us ADHD Skool owners, we deal with the constant bombardment of dopamine from dealing with Skool notifications all day long. It's really exciting!! ...and it's also a good way to burn out. Back in October of last year, I spent 12 hours a day, 7 days a week on Skool to help us get the ⭐ No, I'm not joking or exaggerating. It was NOT sustainable. And it was certainly not efficient or systematized. I was just constantly on my phone writing comments, joining communities, sending DMs... trying a little bit of everything. If you throw the pot at the wall, hopefully something sticks! Now, after a year growing this Skool community, I've learned the errors of my ways. Or rather, I've learned how to systematize my work here so I know exactly what to do, when to do it, and how long to spend on it. This has almost immediately resulted in: ✅ More sales ✅ Better conversations ✅ Better relationships ✅ More members ✅ And best of all - more peace of mind ...all while cutting my time spent on Skool by about 80%. The trick? Systems. I now follow a very specific checklist, understand which notifications to ignore and which are important, and have completely stopped letting myself runaway on Skool notification dopamine land. (Most of the time, anyway. I'm still an ADHD entrepreneur 😅😆) I find that often it's the things that we generally know are good to do (outreach, creating content, taking calls), but we don't have an exact process for how we go about doing them or how we track it. Systems and tracking change the game. And PHEW am I less stressed now! 😮‍💨 So now I'm curious... What do YOU spend way too much time on because there’s no system? 👀

@Bill Widmer it was a great call. I enjoyed talking to you! I choose all of them minus overthinking my next move and taking action, I tend to take action too easily, depending on what it is of course.
What's your vibe today?
It's Thirsty Thursdays and we're co-working at Cabana Club in Austin today! Who's coming?! And for everyone else... what's the vibe? How's work going?

Is it possible to have all of them at once 😂 I've been bouncing all over the place for the last couple weeks, however, I think it's working 😁

ADHD over 40 isn't a productivity problem. It’s a life has too much noise problem! You don’t need another 10-module course you’ll never finish. You need a room that works with your brain, not against it. I’ve built a Skool community specifically for us. No information overload, just micro-momentum and a sustainable structure that actually sticks. We provide a supportive and warm environment that you need to stop the overstimulation and start moving forward. If you’re ready to trade the burnout for clarity, Let’s do this together 🤗

The Secret to Getting Sh*t Done w/ ADHD 🤫
Joining us for our daily Eat the Frog co-working sessions! "I get SO much done on these sessions!" That's something we hear nearly every day. And it's because we combine body doubling, accountability, and the Pomodoro technique to create the perfect storm for massive ADHD productivity. We have two options for you each and every weekday to join in: - 5-7 AM CST - 10 AM-12 PM CST Joining is simple: - Go to the calendar page - Click the session time that works for you - Join using the link inside the session The best part? It's completely free! This is our way of giving back to this wonderful community and creating connection. Show up with a to-do list, announce it for accountability, and leave with a done list. It's that simple. Why body doubling? Because body doubling—or working on a task while another person or persons are present—has been shown to increase our ability to focus and get things done. And we've found that to be incredibly true! So come join us! We don't bite!

Something Special Happens When You Just Show Up
If there's one thing I've learned in my over 12 years as an entrepreneur, it's that the most important part of your business is showing up. - Even when you don't feel like it - Even when things are hard - Even when everything feels like it's going wrong I've built five companies now, and every single time, there's always ebbs and flows. There are moments when things feel really great and aligned, and there are moments when everything feels hard, and it feels like I'm trudging through a swamp. No matter how hard I push, I don't get anywhere. But I kept showing up. And that's what got me across the finish line. That's not to say that you should build your business from a place of force, where you have to repeatedly do things you hate over and over again to achieve an outcome. I work hard, but I don't believe in "hustle culture" work 18 hours a day 7 days a week. That may work for some people, but it's not sustainable and it's honestly not even necessary. Work hard, yes, but also work smart and work with the way that your brain works. If you keep noticing that something isn't working, that's a sign that you're probably out of alignment, and it's time to change something. That doesn't necessarily mean it's time to change to a different business or give up on your dreams as an entrepreneur. It might just mean changing the methods and systems you're using to try and achieve the outcome. This is a lesson that Rex and I learned recently. We found that if we push and do a ton of outreach and do these big launches, we can achieve success. Followed by burnout. Lesson learned. Now we're working with a coach to help us build systems and new ways of doing business that enhance what we're already doing and make ourselves more effective. But I digress. The point of this whole post is this: 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴. As long as you don't give up, you will achieve your goals. Or you will find yourself hitting a different milestone you hadn't even thought of, that's better than what you hoped.

I really like that you mentioned not being a fan of the hustle culture because this is something I deeply align with these days! The whole idea of hustle culture isn't good for an ADHD'ER like me!
