Uomo Born in Roma Coral Fantasy by Valentino
I recently returned to the States and am now in the office and decided to try out my bottle of Uomo Born in Roma Coral Fantasy by Valentino. This scent certainly has a mouthful of a name, but how does it perform? The fragrance kicks off with a sweet, fresh apple scent that immediately caught my attention. It reminds me a lot of apple-flavored hard candy, and it has a notable similarity to Y EDP, though I wouldn’t go as far as to say they’re the same. This delightful apple note is strong and projects well for the first five minutes, really setting a vibrant tone for the fragrance. After the initial burst, the fragrance transitions into some fougere-style notes, with sage and lavender taking center stage. These classic masculine scents balance out the earlier sweetness and bring a mature complexity to the profile. This middle phase lingers for about an hour, providing a robust character before it shifts into the drydown. The drydown introduces a sweet yet dry tobacco note, accompanied by a hint of patchouli that adds an earthy depth. This combination creates a slightly rugged vibe, which I find intriguing and appealing. In terms of performance, Uomo Born in Roma Coral Fantasy impresses. The initial projection lasts around four hours, creating a nice scent bubble around you. After that, the aroma remains close to the skin for just over seven hours, allowing you to enjoy it without overwhelming those around you. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed wearing this fragrance. While the opening may come across as a bit youthful due to its sweetness, the middle and drydown notes provide a more sophisticated wear. It strikes a good balance, making it worthy of a spot in anyone’s fragrance collection. If you’re looking for something that evolves beautifully over time, this could be the bottle for you.
