What I learned from my first 5 day fast.
Hey yall! I now have a Substack and wrote an article about my experience fasting for the last 5 days. It includes tips and tricks as well as mentions common roadblocks I’ve encountered. If you’re considering trying out fasting, read on. Would love to hear feedback! https://open.substack.com/pub/zengabriel1/p/what-i-learned-from-my-first-5-day?r=q6613&utm_medium=ios&shareImageVariant=overlay

Is fasting really actually help one’s health you think @Zen Gabriel from your experience, different for everyone? Curious what you’d recommend to start it out
Because I love myself 💙
I go to the gym... because I love myself I brush my teeth... because I love myself I clean my home... because I love myself I shower... because I love myself I build community... because I love myself I create & scale companies... because I love myself I maintain my friendships... because I love myself I meditate... because I love myself I journal... because I love myself I prioritize my sleep... because I love myself I show up for my clients... because I love myself I eat healthy meals... because I love myself I sit in gratitude daily... because I love myself There are many, many things I do because I love myself. Your self is the only thing you were given when you were born and you will have until you die. And many of us - especially those of us with ADHD - tend to beat ourselves up. "I am stupid" "I'm not good enough" "I need to do more" "Why can't I just stop procrastinating?!" "I must be broken" "I'm worthless" "I don't deserve to be successful" It is easy to be harsh to yourself. You're often your own worst critic. But what if we chose to feed another voice? The voice of self-love and compassion? The voice that whispers our unique strengths and abilities, knows what we're capable of, and is our biggest cheerleader? 2026 is only days away. A new year. A new opportunity to set intentions and make changes. I'm not talking about empty New Year's resolutions to "do better". I'm talking about embracing that we already ARE better - and choosing to feed that reality instead of the many that don't serve us. My plan in 2026 is to embrace loving presence and build myself up. Be my own cheerleader. Choose awe and gratitude in every possible moment. The world is full of incredible, awesome things to be grateful for, and I choose to see that reality... Because I love myself. What will you do differently in 2026 because you love yourself?
Because I love myself 💙

@Bill Widmer My jobs and just coming to skool whenever and building connections with people/slowly growing the group. Not much of a focus on monetization at the moment, more so like a creative outlet and working on running experiments and learning. If an offer happens to make sense for me to run/try it will do it, but nothing specific, just want to keep connecting with people here and focused on helping others connect with one another.

@Bill Widmer If anyone did have any money offer suggestions / ideas would be curious to your thoughts.
Why you should record your wins ✍️
Very early on in Focus Founder's journey, @Rex Loyer created a channel in our company chat called "Company Wins". It's one of my favorite systems he's contributed to our company's growth. It's a channel dedicated entirely to sharing our little wins along the way. Clients telling us we were "born to do this" or that they've "never felt understood like this before" Community members sharing how much this community has impacted their lives A photo of myself sending out stickers to the winners of our first ever challenge Screenshots of us ranking #1 for "ADHD" in Skool discovery, or of us achieving the ⭐ Or, most recently, a video @Amber Kay sent to us of her fully set-up Christmas tree that we dropped off at her house this morning so she could have some Christmas spirit in her house. Any time there's something I feel excited about or proud of, I write it down and send it in the wins channel. Whether that's hitting a milestone, selling a new client, celebrating client or community member wins, catching my co-founder doing something awesome... whatever. Then, any time I'm feeling down about myself or unsure of the company, I can just hop in that channel and scroll through a wall full of wins to remind me why I'm doing what I'm doing and the impact it's making on people in Austin and around the world. This is a small but extremely powerful habit that is one of my defenses against shiny object syndrome and rejection sensitivity to remind me how the negative thoughts in my head are just that - thoughts. Not reality. Entrepreneurship is not easy. Celebrating the wins keeps you in the game when things get tough. Do you regularly celebrate your wins? Better yet, did you have a system to capture them? If not, I highly recommend you set one up. For Rex and me, it's a channel inside Signal we created between the two of us called "Company Wins"

Filtering your awareness through gratitude and hope must be much better and better serving (even if it’s not even true) than fear. Makes me think about what you talked about Bill in going from thousands in debt to success, seemed like the big thing was the mindset shift and even being in that much in debt switching to more of an abundance mindset and less of a fear/survival.
Happy Birthday Rainbow! 🌈 🦜
Today is my dear friend @Rainbow Bird de Soliris’s birthday!! Rainbow, you've been a core piece of this community since the early days. Genuinely, I'm not sure where this community would be without you. You've shown up for yourself and your fellow community members time after time, week after week. You've shown people what's possible in going to another country and growing as an entrepreneur. I'm always delighted to have you on our weekly group calls in the accelerator. You bring so much light, love, joy, and childlike wonder into this world. I'm massively grateful to have you as a friend, as a fellow FOCUS founder, and as a member of our accelerator. Thank you for being authentically you. Thank you for choosing to show up for this community. And thank you for always pointing out better ways to speak love into this world. I laugh every time I think of shame, because I think back to moments we've had where you pointed out that we shouldn't shame anyone. IYKYK 😂 But also in ways you use phrasing like, "healing it," and, "grand rising." All that to say, there's a lot that I appreciate about you. And I'm grateful that you're here and I'm grateful for your friendship. Excited to see where this new journey takes you as you continue your travels. And I'm glad that you get to share another year on this planet, my friend. 🙏🏼
Happy Birthday Rainbow! 🌈 🦜
