Breathing protocol
Hey guys, So I try to practice breathing exercices to calm myself down every time I get too stressed. I am a grappling athlete and I was wondering if you knew any good breathing protocol to diminish butterflies before competition? Thanks to everyone.

@Rob Durden Hey Rob, I like this question mate I’m keen to know — do you have a daily breathing practice? Both the type that shifts you into a calm, restorative state, and the type that stresses your breathing system to build respiratory strength and endurance? Also, — do you include anything in your training that challenges your ability to shift states quickly? I’m talking about moving from an energised, high-output state into a calm, controlled one — on demand. Think going from 2 minutes of hitting the bag -moderate to high intensity and then stopping and shifting rapidly back into a calm state Also what do "butterflies" feel like to you both physically and mentally
Mini lecture - Mindset- Growth vs Fixed
Hey Guys I have found this to be some of the most imprntat, maybe the most important work, i have done personally in terms of creating change and identifying were i am holding myself back in life. Understanding your mindset is crucial, because it shapes the way you see chalenges, setbacks, and opportunities. If you’re operating with a fixed mindset, you’re more likely to avoid discomfort and see failure as a threat. But when you can identify those fixed patterns and shift them into a growth mindset, you open the door to learning, resilience, and continual improvement. That awareness is the first step to real change—because you cant train what you don’t notice. Give it a listen and think about areas in your life were you need to change from fixed to growth mindset

@Emma Corr good question. mostly it is about perspective - A fixed mindset sees criticism as a threat to identity: “They’re saying I’m not good enough.” A growth mindset reframes the same situation: “This is uncomfortable, but it’s showing me where I can improve.” subtle difference in mindset ahh but it has a huge imapct on how you interpret the situaion The feedback itself doesn’t change — what changes is the lens you look through. That shift in perspective turns criticism from something that shuts you down into something that helps you grow. think of it like this mate - Feedback (or criticism) is more about what you did, not who you are. This helps reduce defensiveness and opens you up for leanring .

Hey guys- this is those on the current 30-day reset (August intake) I’d like to offer you early access to our new course, Confidence Under Pressure. We’re about 70% through filming, and it’s shaping up to be an absolute ripper. Because you’ve been some of the most engaged members here, you’ll get access before it goes public. All I ask in return is your feedback so we can sharpen it for the wider community. This course is designed to give you the tools to act with confidence in the moments that usually trigger doubt, fear, or anxiety — whether it’s a tough conversation, a big opportunity, or a high-pressure situation. Using a proven system, you’ll learn how to train confidence as a skill that can be applied to any challenge, giving you more calm, control, and the ability to back yourself when it counts. This is the same system I’ve used personally, and it’s had a profound effect on my ability to step up and get amongst it — even in moments where I didn’t feel confident. If you’re keen, drop your name in the comments and I’ll set you up with access. — Dave
