I'd love to know... Are you currently vermicomposting (worm composting)?

@Dennis Wichter these are red wrigglers Eisenia fetida is the scientific name. Thanks I'm pretty new to vermicomposting. I have loads of declarative knowledge but not much experiential knowledge.

@Dennis Wichter yeah man near impossible but good try. I definitely have no context to tell them apart haha
Hii
I’m just starting out, I got a hydroponic seed starter, which has been working marvelous at growing my seedlings. 🌱 It came with nutrients as well. But tbh, I am so terrified of them leaving the hydroponic system. I tried having them in a garden bed last year and when I was out of town for the weekend they all just fried and died. 😭 Going to try to keep them inside this year. But- I do have hard water… I’m not sure if that matters or not. But also, I don’t know how much water they need, when to water them, how much sunlight they need, when there is too much sunlight. I’m completely lost and I’d really like to do a great job this year. I have corn, that I want to plant in my front yard as well… but we have a mole problem on the grass part.. not so much in the garden bed area. But I don’t know if I should plant them, or do anything about them?? I also am concerned about bugs. Do bugs get in your corn? I have apple trees in the backyard and worms do find their way into most of them. I would love to get so good at this that I am able to just have food all the time. Lol 😂 Thank you!

Hard water should be fine and actually usually provides optimal levels of calcium and magnesium.

It definitely saves money on buying peat pots or if your just against rockwool. Other than that I decided against it bc it was too labor intensive.
Just did a fun podcast
