My soil
Last years raised garden beds were 3 beds layered with cow manure aged and compost with a mixture of topsoil, compost and rabbit poop. Plus I added 10,10 ,10 and fish fertlizer with blood meal 2x per month. The other 3 are no cow manure, just the mixture of top soil, rabbit poop and compost and there was clay in it. Now, to amend the soil and fill the beds to the top(we did not fill last year due to expense) I just added compost consisting of chips, rabbit poop and sadly horse manure ugh. I did not know til after delivery. No topsoil. I mixed it all up with the soil there and my question is should I add some mushroom compost with topsoil to top layer with 10,10,10. Than right before planting thought I would add fish fertilizer and blood meal to the garden beds. Than going to put pine straw for moisture retention, it worked great last year. Plus inocoluatie when plant each plant. Or am I overdoing it, Oh and there are plenty of worms but going to add more

@Dennis Wichter Yes, I believe it is. I do have fish fertilizer. Thought put mushroom fertilizer and topsoil. That's it.

Yes, the gardens did well last year. I am just overthinking. I think it will be fine, I think one bag of topsoil for each garden will be good, that does not hurt. Want the plants to have something to grab. I want gold soil by fall, and next year not have to add so much. It is my second year with these large beds, In Maine was smaller beds, and California was small plot. Different soils, temps. Bit I have had success and made many mistakes. I am learning

I am starting tomorrow with the soul blocking. I am hoping to plant my garden from seed except direct sow. Or cabbage, buying those.
