My mom got me an in-ground worm bin (what's basically a fancy bucket with a lid and no bottom) as a gift a few years ago and it's doing well! Other than some beatings from the weed trimmer when cleaning up, it's donning excellent. We put in table scraps (select fruits and veggies) cardboard, paper, etc and keep it churned as needed for the worms. I've collected compost from there and use it with my other plants for a full circle of life! Since the bucket has holes, the worms are free to travel and aerate the garden soil or go where needed.

Hey all! I live in NE Ohio where the winters suck and summers are mild (now). I love indoor and outdoor plants. I make my own potting mix for my indoor plants and have a worm compost bin for my outdoor plants. However, I'm in a new build, so my soil is absolute trash! I'd love to explore and learn more ways to improve, especially my garden
