Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” — John 15:4 Devotional Thought Abiding is not passive — it is powerful. Jesus didn’t say visit Him. He didn’t say check in when life is hard. He said abide — live, remain, stay connected. A branch doesn’t strain to produce fruit. It simply stays connected to the vine… and fruit becomes inevitable. Many believers try to produce results without presence. But fruit is not produced by effort alone — It is produced by intimacy. When you stay close to Jesus: - Your mind becomes clearer - Your decisions become sharper - Your peace becomes deeper - Your authority becomes stronger You don’t have to chase fruit. You just have to stay connected to the Source. And here’s the deeper truth for you as a leader and builder (especially with what you’re building in ministry and your programs): Abiding produces overflow. Overflow produces impact. Impact produces legacy. God is not asking you to strive harder today. He’s asking you to stay closer.
