DAY 2 — ABIDE
Scripture:
“Abide in me, and I in you.”
— John 15:4 KJV
Devotional
Jesus didn’t simply invite us to visit Him. He invited us to abide in Him.
To abide means to remain, stay, continue, and dwell.
Many of us spend time with God in the morning, but then go through the rest of the day without Him.
But fellowship with God isn’t supposed to end when your prayer time ends.
Prayer time isn’t the destination—it prepares us to walk with Him throughout the day.
Jesus wants us to remain connected to Him while we’re working, driving, exercising, making decisions, dealing with people, and handling life’s pressures.
Today, don’t just have a moment with God.
Practice remaining with Him.
Reflection
Do I only spend time with God, or am I learning to remain aware of Him throughout my day?
What would change today if I intentionally included God in everything?
Today’s Practice
Throughout your day, intentionally pause and acknowledge God.
Simply say:
“Lord, I’m here with You. What are You doing in this moment?”
Prayer
Father, teach me to abide in You. Help me remain aware of Your presence beyond my prayer time. I don’t want to visit You occasionally—I want to walk with You continually.
Teach me to live every moment with You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
