Clue 4: Lost Plot and Wild Adventures
I started Clue 4 late (busy week) and it took forever but only because I can’t NOT over complicate. I lost the plot on the side seam that was in clue 3. I had done all but the final block when I realized but oh well lol. I totally forgot that was supposed to carry over from clue 3!! Oh well, it didn’t really matter as my motifs didn’t collide.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all the new skills I’ve learned! In this second row of fairy bridges over choppy waters, I decided to take inspiration from the chart but add on a pseudo fake front half cable so the richer pink stitches would come together while their light counter parts would form the frame. I’ve really enjoyed blending color by working with different yarns. I have honestly not really had the recommended colors except my two primary cA, cC. Otherwise I’ve gone into a “fill in the blanks” when it comes to color. I get really inspired by the chart, seeing colors and replications when I have a view of the base set up.
I hope it’s okay wandering so far off the beaten path. - your pattern is so wonderfully written that I immediately understand and if I don’t you have such helpful tutorials. The clarity and skill of the written pattern is testament to allowing this bby beginner take such a strong foundation and branch out to embellish.
Also, the beadwork takes forever!! Especially the last two rows of fairy bridges!!
