Day 1:
I sat in silence
I drafted an impromptu poem
I journaled a bit
I listened to an audiobook
I snacked on cheese & crackers
I did nearly nothing tonight
***What I want to share is there is still some guilt about resting/ vegging out and "accomplishing" nothing.
I'm aware of it but also aware it part of what I'm here to do.
Feeling: "I should have done more. I should have done better."
Noticing how deep the resistance to rest is imbedded...
Overriding this cultural programming.
More updates coming tomorrow.

Ready to look at my draftππ
Midmorning:
Learning by reading my own words. "Meaningful rest is a deliberate practice of slowing down to prepare your body, mind and spirit for the work to cone. It's an act of rebellion in our over scheduled world, to rest deeply without guilt. But rest is not a luxury -- it's a skill and a necessity." - from my drafted manuscript. π₯ Boom π€―
Pm.
Out for lunch & and a cheeky margarita. ( I don't drink much, just playing with it )
Read my entire manuscript. Red pen style.
So excited to implement the edits....
After a shower πΏ & a nap.
Then it's ready for the editor ( final edit) week.
Exciting. + Terrified. = Excitified
