Welcome!
Hi everyone! My name is Jason, I am from Oklahoma. I’m here to learn. Ty for having me!
Welcome!
INTORDUCTION
Hello everyone, I’m Holly Black, an author of fantasy and speculative fiction, and I’m excited to be part of this community. Over the years, my work has been honored with the Nebula, Newbery, Mythopoeic, and other literary awards, but beyond the accolades, I’ve always believed the heart of writing lies in curiosity, imagination, and persistence. Fantasy has given me the freedom to explore power, fear, desire, and the darker corners of human nature through worlds that feel both impossible and strangely familiar. I joined this space because I love conversations about storytelling, worldbuilding, character complexity, creative process, and the messy reality of writing books. Whether you’re outlining your first story or deep into revisions, I know how challenging and rewarding the creative journey can be. Looking forward to connecting with fellow writers, sharing insights, and hearing about the worlds you’re building.
Collab Opportunity
Hello, We’re looking for a reliable partner (must be based in US, UK, CA, AU, DE, or NZ) to work with our team on a part-time basis. We’re offering a monthly salary of USD 2,000 - 3,000, with flexible working hours and long-term collaboration in mind. No development experience required! Our company, Linkcoders (linkcoders.com) is a software development and outsourcing company that works with international clients across various industries. We focus on building high-quality, scalable software solutions and value clear communication and consistent delivery. This role would involve working closely with our existing team, contributing to ongoing projects, and collaborating remotely. If this sounds interesting to you, I’d be happy to share more details and discuss how we could work together. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Jamey

I BELIEVE WRITING SHOULDN'T FEEL LIKE A CHORE
If you’re feeling rushed or forced, you’re likely missing the best part: presence. I’ve learned through food writing that one 'grounded' detail is worth a thousand adjectives. When you slow down to notice the feeling beneath the words, the quality of your work shifts instantly. I've learned that writing doesn't just improve with practice—it deepens with attention. Let’s see what you’re cooking up. (Am I allowed to add a link to my Skool community @Faye Ellis?)
