The Hardest Writing Question No One Likes Asking
At some point, most writers hit this quiet question: Is the story not working… or am I just not good enough yet? That uncertainty can be exhausting. You don’t know whether to push through, step back, rewrite, or let it rest. And because writing is so personal, that confusion often turns into self-doubt instead of clarity. I’ve noticed it’s not usually a lack of effort, it’s a lack of signal. When everything feels noisy, it’s hard to tell what actually needs fixing. I’m curious, when you feel stuck, what’s the part that weighs on you more: 1) Not knowing what to fix OR 2) Not knowing whether you can fix it?
The Rewrite Trap
A lot of writers think they’re stuck because they “haven’t rewritten enough.” But sometimes the problem isn’t effort, it’s that the story is being pulled in too many directions at once. You rewrite chapter one. Then chapter three stops fitting. So you rewrite again. And again. At some point, rewriting becomes a way to avoid making a harder decision about what the story is actually about. I’ve noticed that when writers feel more confused after a rewrite, it’s usually not a craft issue, it’s a clarity issue. Has anyone else hit that point where rewriting stopped helping and started blurring the story instead?
Many businesses do not struggle because of poor products or services.
They struggle because they lack visibility, structure, and effective systems online. Digital skills solve this problem. When you know how to build websites and funnels, run targeted ads, set up email and SMS automation, manage CRMs, and create content that converts, you give businesses the infrastructure they need to grow consistently. This is what modern business growth looks like online: • A clear website that communicates value • Funnels that capture and nurture leads daily • Paid ads that attract the right audience • Automated follow up through email and SMS • A CRM system that tracks every interaction and sale • Content that builds trust before a purchase decision Most business owners neither have the time nor the expertise to implement these systems themselves. That is where digital skills become a business asset. You are not simply providing technical support, you are building the systems that drive revenue. If you have these skills and are not applying them to help businesses grow, you are overlooking a significant opportunity. Develop the skills. Apply them. Offer them. This is how you promote businesses effectively while building a valuable career.

When Rewriting Stops Working
I’ve seen writers rewrite the same book three or four times and still feel stuck. At some point, rewriting stops helping. That’s usually the moment when the problem isn’t the writing itself, but the direction of the story. You can polish sentences forever and still miss the core issue. Sometimes clarity beats craft. Has rewriting ever made you feel more confused instead of clearer?
