Introductions!
Hey everyone - I’m Laura (also known as LC), writer, worldbuilder, and chronic idea-hoarder 😂 I mostly write fantasy/sci-fi/romantasy with big emotions, morally grey characters, and way too much lore. I created this space because writing is better with people who get it. A weird/unique fact about me: I keep my notes app nearby for middle of the night thoughts... and wake up the next morning with sentences like 'the dragon story should be told backwards' and 'show the invention of dreams'. Such useful stuff 😏 Your turn! Reply below with: ✨ name/pen name 📍 where you’re from 📚 what you’re writing 🌀 one weird/fun fact about you Can’t wait to meet you all ✨📖

This already feels like exactly the kind of writing space I’ve been looking for — calm, supportive, and not trying to convince me I need to “optimize my workflow” or “wake up at 5 AM to be a real writer.” Bless you for that. I’m Jason — working on a project that’s equal parts storytelling, reflection, and me arguing with my own sentences. I love big emotions, strong character arcs, and stories that actually feel like something. I’m here for sharing work, getting feedback, talking through plot problems, and building some actual momentum without turning writing into a chore. I really appreciate the “show up when you can, disappear when life gets busy” vibe — that’s basically my natural writing rhythm anyway. Some days I’m unstoppable; other days I’m staring at my draft like it personally offended me. Excited to jump in, meet everyone, and finally get some pages moving again. Thanks for creating a space that feels human, welcoming, and pressure‑free!

It is a new week, and I want to celebrate the progress we are all making.
What is one win—big or small—that you achieved last week? Or, what is one major goal you are crushing this week?
Late Introduction !
I love writing, reading, and speaking — in roughly that order. Turning 50 brought a surprising clarity: I’ve spent my entire life writing for other people. Ghostwriting, bespoke pieces, marketing plans with no byline — I’ve genuinely enjoyed every bit of it. But now I write for myself, on my own terms. I write because I love the English language. Studying it is one of my greatest hobbies, and I balance my practice between analogue notebooks and digital tools. I share my work online because I enjoy the reciprocal energy of feedback — the way a single comment can spark a new idea or sharpen a sentence. I’m always on the hunt for new books, and I love helping other writers strengthen their voice. How may I help you today?
