How's everyone doing this week? We landed another job for the military yesterday! $375k will be our contract amount on it. We ended up getting the job because we found a lightning protection contractor that had a really good number and the rest of our competition didn't know about him! Right now we have about $1.4Million in the pipeline. That's exciting for me because 2025 and 2026 have been pretty rough for us and I feel like we are hopefully going to see the sunlight again soon! Hello everyone, I’m new to the group I have been in the trade since I was 18 years old (2016) I have spent most of my career doing large industrial projects at dams, paper mills, saw mills. Spent a few years doing substation/utility maintenance, currently working on data centers. I have been weighing my options want to start a shop soon hopefully some conversations on here will help me and the rest of us have a bright future.

Hey all! I'm in the beginning stages of planning my company. I want to start it on the side while I continue to work for my current employer. One thing I'm trying to figure out is what kind of software everyone's using. So for all your systems, what's everyone running? For estimating, project management, invoicing, bookkeeping, accounting etc? Also include if your focus is more on commercial, residential, industrial. I want to focus on commercial but may do residential in between projects Thanks in advance!
