Tomorrow’s my first day back at work (remote) as a Solution Architect.
After redundancy (Oct 2023) I used the time to upskill, build myself, and build two things in parallel:
- an automated trading company (still running in the background)
- a storefront business (eBay/Vinted/FB Marketplace/Amazon FBA also still running)
I’m not seeing the job as an L or “going backwards.” I’m seeing it as leverage:
- stable base to remove pressure
- a new team + new standards
- daily reps sharpening my craft
- remote setup = still room to build
The mission stays the same: build systems beyond time-for-money. I’m just adding another engine to the stack.
If anyone else is in a “reset / rebuild / hybrid season,” I’d love to hear how you’re structuring it.
Apologies if you are reading this twice.
