New EA/Bot Selection Strategy
I have now changed how I select and manage the EAs we run.
From Monday, I'll be sourcing bots directly from Prop Firm Robots — one of my primary go-to resources for EA ideas. Rather than spending time testing, tweaking, and modifying bots myself, I'm going to do what many others are already doing successfully: follow the top-performing bots based on live ranked results.
Dont ask me which bot is most profitable. Monitor the website yourself. https://platform.algotradingspace.com/apps/prop-firm-robots-app/
Here's how it'll work:
  • Every Sunday/Monday morning, I'll review the weekly rankings on the site
  • I'll select the top 2 EAs per pair, based on: most profitable, lowest drawdown, and most trades
  • My ideal criteria is something that trades daily with less than 1% drawdown
  • Any bot that drops out of the top 3 weekly will be reviewed for removal.
  • The top 2-3 bots will be in Classroom.
I'll notify the group each Sunday/Monday with either a confirmation that we're keeping current bots, or details on any changes being made.
For you — you have visibility into the same site (note: downloads require a paid subscription, so you can browse rankings but not pull files directly). Once I decide to retire a bot, you're free to keep running whichever ones you had previously. In the worst case, you end up with a library of free bots you can sell down the track. If there is a particular bot you want from any of the list. Let me know and I will download for you.
I'm confident this more systematic approach will cut through the noise and keep us aligned with what's actually currently performing.
