One thing that helped me in junk removal: stop chasing every job. Not every lead is a good lead. Some people want a full trailer load moved for free, some waste your time, some were never booking anyway. Focus on people who are ready now, answer quick, sound professional, and know your pricing. A solid customer today is worth more than 20 bad leads sitting in your inbox.

Most people think… 🧠
Most people think junk removal is just “show up and haul it.” Realistically, it’s all in the details. Always get good info before you go—photos, what’s included, what might be hidden. That alone saves you from getting burned on price. Price for your time and dump fees, not how the customer feels about it. Nice people still have heavy junk. And don’t overcomplicate it. Fast quotes, clean communication, efficient loads—that’s where the money is. Simple business, but easy to mess up if you’re not paying attention.

It’s not supposed to be easy
Sure some jobs can be easy, some days can be easy, but you’re going to run into difficulties in ANY BUSINESS. Whether it’s a crappy job, a crappy customer, underquoting, or things just not going as planned.. Trust in the process. Trust in the work you do in the moment & what you can do to move the needle. Don’t focus on the past, don’t try to control every detail of the future. Just keep going
