What Was Your First Proper RC? 🏁
Quick one for everyone… What was the first RC that really got you hooked? - RTR or kit? - Tamiya, Kyosho, Traxxas, Associated…? - Racing, bashing, or car park chaos? 😄 So many of the racers I’ve spoken to started with a Tamiya kit and actually began racing with those — curious to see if that’s the same story here. Drop it below 👇 photos welcome if you’ve still got one!
👋 Back Again + Workshop Inspiration Needed 🔧
Just a quick one to say sorry I’ve been a bit quiet lately — we’ve been in the middle of moving house, so everything RC (and life 😅) has been a bit upside down. Things are starting to settle now, and I’m looking forward to getting properly back into WindyRidge RC and building things up with you all again 👊 Next step for me: getting a new RC workshop / bench setup sorted. So I’d love a bit of inspiration from the community 👇 - Garage, shed, spare room, kitchen table? - Big bench or compact setup? - Any must-have tools or storage ideas? Drop photos, tips, or ideas below — this might turn into a proper workshop/setup thread for everyone to use. Thanks again for sticking around, and onwards from here 🚀

🎁 What RC Presents Did Everyone Get? 🎁
Christmas is done… now for the important question 😄👇 Did Santa bring you any RC goodies this year? - New car or kit? - Batteries, charger, tools? - Tyres, hop-ups, electronics? - Or something RC-related you’ve been eyeing up for ages? Drop a comment below — photos very welcome 📸🔥 And if you didn’t get anything this year, what’s top of your RC wish list for 2026?
RTR
I have had a long break from RC cars etc, When I was young (30 years ago) and competing the RC world was full of kits, now all the big brands are RTR models- surely this takes a lot of the passion out of it?
