Memorial Day Seminar & Open Mat
🇺🇸 Memorial Day Seminar & Open Mat 🇺🇸 This Memorial Day was about more than training. We came together as a community to sharpen our skills, push each other through hard rounds, share food, spend time with family, and strengthen the relationships that make this group special. Most importantly, we took time to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms and opportunities we have today. We honor them not only with our words, but through how we live, by serving others, pursuing excellence, and supporting those around us. Thank you to everyone who showed up, trained hard, helped out, and contributed to an incredible day. The strength of this community isn't measured by medals, belts, or accomplishments, it's measured by the character, commitment, and fellowship of its members. I'm grateful to be surrounded by people who continue to show up, work hard, and invest in one another. Train with purpose. Lead by example. Stay ready.

AFT/CFT Fitness Standards
1. Key Changes •Establishes the Combat Field Test (CFT) as a required Army fitness assessment. •Updates the Army Fitness Test (AFT) to align with modernized fitness standards. •Confirms that the CFT does not replace the AFT, both remain required. 2. Combat Field Test (CFT) Overview •Applies to all Soldiers in combat specialty (MOS‑designated / some added). •Pass/Fail only — no numerical score. •Conducted as a continuous event with total time determining pass/fail. •All events must be completed in sequence; failure to complete any event results in automatic failure. 3. CFT Events (In Order) a. 1‑mile run b. 30 dead‑stop push‑ups c. 100‑meter sprint d. 16 × 40‑lb sandbag lifts to a 65‑inch platform e. 50‑meter farmer’s carry (2 × 40‑lb water cans) f. 50‑meter movement drill •25m high crawl •25m rush g. Final 1‑mile run **Emphasis on combat realism, fatigue management, and functional strength. 4. Uniform Standards •Army Combat Uniform (ACU) •Boots •No headgear 5. Testing Frequency Requirements •Active Duty / AGR / Soldiers on >365‑day orders •1 × CFT and 1 × AFT annually •Other Reserve Component Soldiers •Alternate annually between AFT and CFT •Minimum time between record tests: •Active / AGR: 4 months •RC not on orders: 8 months 6. Profiles & Medical Considerations •Permanent profiles (combat MOS) •If unable to perform the AFT → ineligible for CFT •May trigger MOS reclassification review •Temporary profiles •Follow profile guidance •No modified CFT events authorized 7. Implementation Timeline •1‑year transition period •During transition: •No adverse actions solely for CFT failure •After transition: •Failure results in flagging and possible MOS reclassification 8. Failure & Administrative Actions •First failure •Immediate flag •Enrollment in reconditioning program •Retest timelines •Active / AGR: 90 days •RC not on orders: 180 days •Second failure •Enlisted: separation or reclassification •Officers: elimination or branch transfer 9. Full Body Session #1
Team, I have created/started a 10-week full body program! Each session will have a different ancillary focus but hits all the prime movers. Mon- Full Body Wed- Full Body Fri- Full Body Reasoning: 3×/week full-body program is “the best” because it: - Maximizes frequency - Controls fatigue - Improves recovery - Builds real-world strength - Fits a hybrid athlete lifestyle When to adjust: - Advanced bodybuilders chasing max hypertrophy may need more volume - Elite lifters may require higher specialization

Warhammer Jiujitsu Program Day 1 complete
Went lighter to become familiar with program, focused on a slower tempo, warmed up with a little interval cardio. Feel pretty good!
