Before you start your day, it is a good idea to meditate and reflect on the thoughts and ideas that come pouring through when you wake up. Record, write and document whatever it is, and free yourself from anything that will linger.
Give yourself some room to breathe, and maybe even sit in a meditative fashion focused on the breath. Even if that means over your cup of coffee/tea.
I would also recommend some kind of movement, walking, stretching or even a full workout. This really sets the tone for the day and gives you more energy that will last.
If you're spiritual, the morning is sacred. This is your chance to get ahead of the day with setting your energetic boundaries. Even if you're not, or you follow something specific, this is your chance to put more repetitions into that practice.
The simple breakdown is journal, meditate and move.
Journal to free your mind.
Meditate to still the mind.
Movement to energize it!
Good luck and have a great start with your week.
