My family made this move for two reasons: Education and Choosing a better future for ourselves and our children. We couldn't sit well with sending our children to US Public Schools and private schools weren't worth it. Cost of living is soaring in the US and we knew there was a better way. We chose Ecovilla San Mateo, an intentional community so we could immediately gain something we had been wanting, community. We lived in a 2000 home suburb and had no friends, and we were by far the youngest in our neighborhood. So we decided to make the leap. You can find out more here:
