...Imagine the stars bringing a beautiful virtual basket of spring flowers this May morning. In this peak of Taurus season, it’s traditional to sweep out the old and bring in fresh life, bring in new rushes for the floor, fresh greens for the health, and celebrate new life returning no matter how cold or dry the winter was. We also celebrate a bouquet of hard-won worker’s rights on this International Workers’ Day. Let this cycle of rebirth bring hope into our hearts even when the world looks dire. Friday, May 1: Bring in the May to balance this full Scorpio Moon,11:22 AM MDT, and expect every wild feeling to arise. Look at primal emotions or deep dreams, soul longings that often run underneath the surface. Notice jealousy, suspicion, greed, those difficult creatures swimming deep in the waters of our consciousness; be honest about them but don't let them run the show. Consider a spring cleaning of heart or closet. Use these stirrings to look deep within to what connects to the natural world, to your best self, to your best memories and traditions as Venus forms a stabilizing sextile to Saturn and Mercury conjuncts the healing asteroid Chiron. Flowers further. Saturday, May 2: Release a heaviness this morning as that Moon trines Jupiter. We can feel a Full Moon hangover, a drop in energy, but still need to honor the call to deep work from that Scorpio Moon. Yesterday's mood swings and primal emotions still circulate underneath but have less hooks into us today. Midday can leave us at loose ends; we can become ambiguous about whether we want to be around people or need more time to ourselves. Evening stabilizes, we may be ready to share our feelings tangentially rather than directly, through music, poetry, song, or shared experience as Mercury enters Venus-ruled Taurus. Experience more laughter towards midnight as the Moon approaches Sagittarius. Sunday, May 3: Moods lighten as the Moon enters Sagittarius and opposes Uranus. Love those May flowers. Take a more lighthearted approach to serious issues, but deal with them now before they potentially expand mid-week. Check for mutating plans or changes of mind as the Moon opposes Uranus, stay flexible and roll with it. Interact carefully with any growing competitiveness or feisty edge. Tonight, collaborate on problems that need solving and get organized for the week ahead while the Moon trines structural Saturn.

Change and Choices in the week ahead! Change-master Uranus enters Mercury-ruled Gemini this Saturday, heralding eight years of transformation through Geminian division or diversity, through Mercurial technological evolution and changes in how and what we choose to communicate. Last time Uranus entered Gemini was August 1941 through 1948, the heart of WW2. Uranus sextiled powerful Pluto then and trines Pluto now, both times precipitating technological advancement and societal transformation triggered by necessity. Also, Neptune is back in Aries for the first time since the American Civil War, and Chiron is back in Aries for the first time since 1968-76, concurrent with the last half of the Vietnam war and its opposition here at home. We always have choice. We do not have to relive these dire cycles, though these next years will echo those challenging times. Our world is transforming unpredictably over these next eight years, and we need to direct the changes with care. The gift of Neptune in Aries can bring personal and spiritual bravery to our truth. Uranus in Gemini can bring an era of inventive brilliance and intense use of code as our world is transformed by AI, whether we like it or not. It could instigate the technology needed to step back from fossil fuels which will change the world’s power dynamics. We can either truly communicate, Gemini’s gift, or polarize and separate, Gemini’s shadow form. We can return to our roots for stability, but we can’t go backwards. This week is infused with determination and change, and potentially a feeling of overwhelm if we let the details swamp us. Mercury, Mars, and Saturn infuse bravery and keep the sparks and determination flowing as they run close together in Aries with Neptune just behind. Our minds can work fast, have trouble concentrating for long periods of time, so it can be most efficient to work in short, intense chunks; throw ourselves into a project but take a break when bored or tired. The Sun in earthy Taurus adds grounding, practicality, and stubbornness to this mélange. Venus in Gemini brings in a more flexible edge but can keep our nerves revving. It can also help us find the magically right words if people step out of their egos and are willing to truly dialogue with respect.

Monday, April 20: A day of decisions that will not be easily reversed, decisions that will have consequences, as Mercury conjuncts Saturn and Mars, but we have to make them wise ones. Think it through, make sure to have all the working parts in mind, know what's going on, and make sure everybody feels heard before anything is signed. Set limits and mean them, apply for a job, or mortgage, or take a step in a longed-for direction. Keep an eye on the big picture map and watch the headlines for important clues about the near future. Mercury conjunct Saturn 5:21 AM, Mercury conjunct Mars 3:44 PM. Tuesday, April 21: After a nervy, scattered morning, the Moon enters comfort-requiring Cancer midday and asks us to take care of ourselves and neglected issues on the home front. But don’t use this needed recentering as an excuse for a sullen retreat from hurt feelings; we’ll pout quickly as defenses trigger. Let’s move out of blame, take personal responsibility, and take care of ourselves. Moon enters Cancer 10:59 AM, Moon sextile Sun 1:50 PM, Moon trine Neptune 3:53 PM. Wednesday, April 22: The internal Moon in Cancer squares Saturn, Mars, and Mercury this morning. If we feel overwhelmed or stretched thin, we can get irritated, blame others when we are the person most responsible for healthy boundaries and meeting our needs. Be pro-active instead. Bring attention back home and take care of all domestic issues, whether we're talking politics or family, even if it feels at odds with a current ambition. It furthers to do our due diligence on projects close to our heart and mind, direct this energy and keep it out of trouble. Open the heart’s doors to beloveds later in the day as the Moon conjuncts Jupiter, help them feel encouraged on their own tracks. Moon square Saturn 12:30 AM, Moon square Mars 3:11 AM, Moon square Mercury 5:29 AM, Moon conjunct Jupiter 4:51 PM. Thursday, April 23: Deal with personal business early as the introverted Cancer Moon sextiles Venus and Uranus. Then get outside, work the crowd, listen for new connections as Venus conjuncts Uranus and enters nervy, cross-pollinating Gemini and the Moon enters extroverted Leo. Our mood could become lighter, less introspective, a bit more flirtatious. Although some will use this verbal glitz for propaganda or cheap excuses, it can also help us write what needs to be written, become more ready to negotiate, less interested in just a military solution. It can create an opportunity for innovative and peace-seeking folk to find a new voice.

(My apologies for missing them last week.) Let's hold a peaceful world in our minds and hearts this week... Let PEACE Prevail! ... and be very careful what sparks we strike, there’s a lot of fuel swirling in the energy fields. Mars has just joined the Sun, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron in feisty, impulsive Aries and Mercury heads into Aries mid-week. ... We can do divination by headlines. When we see the world bubbling with conflict, we know that's the ambient matrix our psyches swim within. We can't stop the energy, but we can direct it. ... Let PEACE Prevail Early next week we can feel that raw, sensitive component as the Pisces Moon underlines some vulnerability, but we still have to deal with all that Aries torque. Remember to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Let PEACE Prevail Saturday, April 11: Check the news this morning and share dreams, honor some deep emotional processes that occurred overnight the Moon conjuncts intense Pluto. Spend the day weaving community as the Aquarius Moon sextile Saturn and squares Venus. Our more emotionally intimate relationships can feel underfed ... Let PEACE Prevail Sunday, April 12: Maybe we just need to dream the day away as Mars conjuncts Neptune, a tricky aspect. Our imagination can be strong, so can our intuition, and we can light a fire under our spiritual path. Any ambient tension, violence, or anger echoes in the sub ether and through our psyches ... Let PEACE Prevail Monday, April 13: Cooperation gets us farther than irritation. Move past any recent tensions and help people work together by honoring their dreams, let everybody feel heard as the Moon enters sensitive, easily overwhelmed Pisces and Venus in earthy and beautiful Taurus sextiles Jupiter. We are all independent thinkers, but Let PEACE Prevail Amen Awomen All Life Blessed Be!

The stars are asking us to wake up this week, come out of last month’s foggy aspects, and reorient to our political, personal, and environmental landscape with less obfuscation and with better lighting. Because of this we may have to face some tough realities as key examples of climate change and political shifts become obvious, or we could feel a wave of fresh air, a new certainty in our path, new clarity for who has our back or what direction now opens before us. With this new clarity we also need to wrangle with an interesting power dynamic which presses us to correct a personal or cultural cycle, a cycle which began when Saturn and Pluto conjunct in January of 2020. Saturn – the symbol of structure, limits, work, traditions, and control, sextiles Pluto, symbolizing power of all kinds. Sextiles are harmonizing aspects, nudging us to look at the nature of control, and helping us curb the use and abuse of political, personal, or electrical power. There are so many ways that this Saturn-Pluto question of power and empowerment is playing out around the globe right now. This weekend No Kings rallies are scheduled around the country just as the sextile perfects. Saturday, March 28: Don’t try to control others; instead, show up, be present, witness a person viewpoint, express while giving others room to express themselves. Think back to cycles that began in 2020 and contemplate what can be done to improve their trajectory, then work towards healthy restructuring as the Saturn-Pluto sextile perfects under an expansive Leo Moon. Organize home, clear the ground, weed the garden in all its symbolic permutations. Life is a metaphorical play filled with street theater and dramatic romantic or political gestures. Sunday, March 29: If we feel stirred up, our feelings jumbled this morning, let’s process those emotions, rehash recent events until they feel more digestible as the Moon squares Uranus and trines Venus. Just remember to take turns and really listen when it’s time. As the Moon heads into productive Virgo this afternoon, drop the focus on the recent past before it becomes a bitch-fest, and instead ameliorate the situation; engage in home improvements, and self-care. Brainstorm next steps.
