Hey everyone! I'm Arunavo Barua, and I am full-time university student, studying engineering at the University of Toronto. Right now during my off-time I work on various projects, mostly including AI, in how to improve the daily lives of students. My most recent and most established project is semesteros.ca, which is still underdevelopment, but the idea is so simple yet effective. The idea: Students struggle to actually plan their week for assignments, tests and quizzes, rather than spreading time throughout the semester to study for each everyone just crams it to the last minute. My app helps fix this by basically getting data from their portal using API'S (like canvas/blackboard/D2L (Brightspace), and integrating their courses, schedule and weightage of each assignment, which basically automatically does a time-effort analysis and sets study blocks throughout your day to effectively study for whatever may lie ahead. link: semesteros.ca I am quite new to the "start-up" space, but this app has gained traction within my local university even before launch.
