Don’t do what’s not you
When I lived in Vancouver, I was asked to do a corporate Christmas party. They normally book the wonderful Don Bryan but he wasn’t available.
I warned my agent that Don and I do very different shows, but they insisted.
My instinct said don’t do it but my wallet said take it.
It was a disaster. I was told it was a family party. There 2 count ‘em 2 kids.
I’ve learned (as the new saying goes) to stay in my own lane.
It took a long time to get my reputation back!!
