Getting enough protein is not a plant-based problem. It's a knowledge problem. 💪🌱 Did you know…. Hemp seeds: 10g of complete protein per 3 tablespoons. Tempeh: 31g per cup. Lentils: 18g per cup cooked. Edamame: 17g per cup. Spirulina: 8g per two tablespoons. Black beans, chickpeas, quinoa — are all complete or near-complete protein sources that most people already have in their kitchen. 🏠 And the performance data backs it up. 📊 A 2021 study published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise compared muscle protein synthesis rates between whey protein and mycoprotein — a fungal plant-based protein — and found no significant difference in muscle building response. A separate 2020 study in the Journal of Nutrition tracked 3,000 participants over several years and found that plant protein sources were equally effective at maintaining muscle mass as animal sources when total intake was matched. ⚖️ The "where do you get your protein" question only exists because people were taught meat is the default and everything else is a workaround. Flip the frame: you're eating the original source. 🌾 Animals get their protein by eating plants. You're cutting out the middleman. 😎🐄 Micro-challenge: Calculate your protein intake today using only plant sources. Hit your bodyweight in grams. It's easier than you think. 🧮

Before the new week starts, ask yourself one honest question: Has your body been telling you something that you've been... talking over? 🗣️ Bodies communicate constantly — but most of us are just too busy with our own lives to actually listen sometimes. 👂 If so, say what it is below. And are you going to pay attention to it this week? ✍️

"Trust your gut" was never just a figure of speech. ..... its actually.. very literal. 🧠🌀 Did you know your gut runs its own nervous system — over 500 million neurons, more than your spinal cord carries. It manufactures roughly 95% of the serotonin in your entire body. ***Not your brain. Your gut. It talks to your brain constantly through the vagus nerve, and the conversation runs both directions — So actually your mood shapes your gut, and your gut, it turns out, shapes your mood right back. 🔄 Most people treat digestion like plumbing. Food goes in -- waste comes out, nothing to see here. But the ecosystem living in there is closer to an organ in its own right — regulating immunity, -- manufacturing vitamins, -- deciding in real time whether to turn inflammation up or down, -- based entirely on what you keep feeding it. 🦠 Here's what quietly wrecks the processes of the gut: - antibiotics, - ultra-processed food, - artificial sweeteners, - chronic stress, - lack of fibre. - Most people are running at least three of those without noticing. ⚠️ But no gatekeeping here, here's what rebuilds it, and rebuilds it fast: - fibre from as many different plant sources as you can manage — the variety matters more than the volume. - Fermented foods like kimchi and sauerkraut. Prebiotic foods like garlic, onion, and leeks, which basically feed the good bacteria directly. 🧄🧅 - A single week of doing this produces measurable shifts in your gut's makeup. One week. Your body isn't waiting around for permission. ✅ This week: ten different plant foods a day. Doesn't need to be complicated — track it for three days and see what you land on. 📝

You could be doing everything right and still pouring half of it down the drain. Literally. 🥦🚿 Boil a vegetable and up to half its water-soluble nutrients leach straight into the water — the same water almost everyone drains and discards. You did the work of buying and cooking the vegetable, then threw away a chunk of the reason you bought it. 😮‍💨 - Steam instead. - Or keep the water and build a soup base out of it. 🍲 - Roast lower and slower rather than blasting high heat. Leave part of your vegetables raw — not because raw beats cooked, but because raw keeps what heat destroys. There's a second leak most people don't know about. Vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble — meaning without fat in the meal, they mostly pass through you unused. A dry salad with fat-free dressing is mostly decoration. 🥗 Add the avocado. 🥑 Add the olive oil. It's not a style choice, it's the mechanism that makes the vegetable count. 👌 Try it tonight: half an avocado on a meal you'd normally eat plain. Notice if you feel more or less nourished.. ✅
