Hello everyone, I need help with a client management issue.
This client initially posted a job for creating a cold email outreach system. During our first call, he gave a lengthy presentation filled with company information that wasn't particularly relevant. He then requested an audit of procedures and asked us to build a LinkedIn outreach system.
I told him that after these two initial activities, we would conclude the work and agree on a retainer arrangement.
Now he's asked us to stop the scraping activities and requested optimization of a Make.com workflow for a Google Ads campaign. I have the impression this client lacks direction. Currently, he's paying $30/hour on Upwork and everything seems to be going smoothly, but I'd like to restructure the agreement with clearer terms and at a more advantageous rate.
Since the initial arrangement was that we would shift to a retainer after the first phase, I reminded him of this. He replied that he doesn't have enough work for a retainer.
At this point, I would like to terminate the contract with him, but I don't know the best approach for keeping my profile and metrics in good standing and how to do it.
What do you recommend I do?
Thank you!
