Securing party bookings
📌 How We Do Bookings Here This community is about healthy, sustainable bookings — not panic discounting, over-giving, or burning yourself out to stay busy. With 12 years’ experience in children’s party & experience businesses, this booking structure has consistently worked best and is what guides conversations in this space. ✔️ Core Booking Principles Immediate deposit always No deposit = no date held. Clear terms from the start Dates, times, deposits, balances, and cancellation policies should never be vague. Boundaries protect your business Holding dates, exceptions, and “just this once” discounts usually cost more than they’re worth. ✔️ Early-Booking & % Offers Early-booking incentives are encouraged when used intentionally, not reactively. Best practice: Small, time-limited % offers Clear expiry dates Non-refundable deposit paid immediately Subject to availability No holding dates Early-booker offers should reward decisive customers, not attract problems. ✔️ What This Space Is (and Isn’t) This is: A supportive, peer-led space Experience-based advice Honest conversations about pricing, bookings, customers, and boundaries This is not: Hustle culture Pressure to underprice Comparison or shaming Coaching or selling to each other ✔️ Share What Works (and What Doesn’t) Please feel free to: Ask booking questions Share scripts and policies Talk through tricky customer situations Be honest about what you’re navigating We’re here to help each other build calmer, better-run businesses. 🤍 Welcome — you’re in the right place.

Kicking off the new year strong.
🎉 Kicking off the New Year: Healthy Booking Strategies That Work January is a powerful month for setting the tone for your year — especially when it comes to calm, confident bookings. With 12 years’ experience running a children’s party business, this structure has consistently worked best for me, so I wanted to share what’s helped secure bookings early without panic discounting or attracting the wrong customers. 1️⃣ Percentage-off offers (kept small & intentional) I’ve always found that modest, time-limited % offers work best. They reward organised parents rather than bargain hunters. 2️⃣ Immediate deposit = serious bookings Every offer I run requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit. No deposit = no date held. This alone filters out a lot of back-and-forth and protects your energy. 3️⃣ The offer is tied to action, not need For example: % off for booking within 48–72 hours % off for quieter months It trains customers how to book properly. 4️⃣ Clear terms protect your business Any % offer should always be: Time-limited Subject to availability With clear wording No holding dates 5️⃣ Early bookings = calmer year Securing bookings early improves cashflow, reduces stress, and stops you underpricing later when demand rises. That’s always been my goal — not just being booked, but being booked well. 💬 Over to you: Do you run early-booking offers? What % works best for you — or what’s held you back? Let’s share what actually works 🤍
