We went deep on REFRAMES yesterday on the weekly teaching call with the students.
Reframes that potentially open doors that are closed or closing fast.
Reframes that can turn a negative (real or perceived) into a positive and thus generate forward momentum on the call.
Reframes that can have the prospect feel a sense of abundance, possibility and opportunity generating real excitement.
The good news?
Not only do they work on sales calls (I use them near daily!).
They can and do work in real life interactions and even with self talks that you give yourself!
What is a reframe?
It's changing one (or multiple) of the below:
- what it is (or what it's thought to be)
- how they think about it / what it means to them
Bringing in an alternative thought or angle and the above 2 points adjust accordingly.
(and I'm not talking low-relevance metaphors or corny analogies)
Said adjustment can lead to new thoughts and then conclusions.
We went granular on this - how I think about it / what I'm looking for / how I do it - and did some real time role plays with situations the students wanted additional angles.
Fun times!
Fun as it taps into your creativity and it creates positive outcomes.
Which all can lead to way more sales of course.
Way more sales on the back of way better interactions!
And that's the game...
Fun and stimulating interactions leading to many sales (with the right people and for the right reasons).
And all the good that comes from that!
