Final days in Australia after 10 weeks here.
This is the 3rd year in a row that we've done this (come out for 10 to 12 weeks to Australia with the family during the kids Guatemala school vacations).
We're fortunate - my family and I - to have built a lifestyle that allows this.
It allows me to work from anywhere in the world with nothing other than my computer.
It allows me to fulfil my duties - to my 2 clients I sell for and my amazing students that I coach - no matter the location!
It allows us to relocate as a family for 3 months at a time without putting everything on hold (work, education etc).
It allows us to put our kids in school in Australia for 10 weeks whilst being in the Guatemalan school system the rest of the year.
It allows us to "live" in 2 countries which are both important to us and be around the people we wish to be around.
It allows our kids to grow up "Australian" and "Guatemalan" building relationships and confidence in both countries and in both languages!
Back to the word "lifestyle" and specifically the concept of "lifestyle design"...
This is all intentional.
I do the work we do - remote / online / no boss / own my time / uncapped upside on being really good at this - to create and allow this.
I don't do it for the cars and watches, the insta posts and all the other material flash and flex type stuff.
I do it for a combination of security and to have maximum options - AKA, Freedom!)
Security as it's my business and I'm in the drivers seat and when we do it well it'll pay exponentially more than 99% or corporate work + all that I do translates to other working worlds if I ever need to move to that.
Maximum options meaning that I can do what I want, when I want, where I want and with who I want.
In short, I get to choose....
And this is what I want - to spend time in 2 countries and full of interesting, stimulating and rewarding experiences.
Around the people I want to be around.
All done whilst moving forward financially at all times investing most of what I earn.
All done whilst growing my skillset / mindset / network / reputation / body of work etc at all times (which leads to more security to bring it full circle!).
So I share this as a form of gratitude.
And perhaps also to inspire some of you to create your version of "lifestyle design" where you too can do what you want, when you want, where you want and with who you want.
All whilst moving forward financially and growing as a person!
(and having a great time too!)
