hey guys i run 12.1 in the 100m how can i get faster? My friends say i am a block start merchant and they aren’t wrong. I toe drag a tad but what i find interesting is that for the 4x1 first leg my split was 11.7.
Most sprinters don’t have a speed problem. They have a force application problem. A lot of athletes lose time because they: - pop straight up out the blocks - rush their first steps - cycle too early - train speed while fatigued Acceleration should feel like PUSHING, not just moving your legs fast. One cue that helped me: “Push the ground away and stay patient through the first 20-30m.” What part of your race do you struggle with most right now? 👇🏾
Conditioning is more than getting tired — it builds discipline, mental toughness, and the ability to perform under pressure. Being tough means showing up consistently, pushing through discomfort, and staying locked in when things get hard.
