Moving to Substack!
After some issues that came up with this platform (technical access preferences and the whole tier system) I have decided that we are moving over to Substack! thetormentedwriterssociety.substack.com That's where the writers are, anyway!

Launching January 7!
For the last half of this year (2024), I've been quietly working in the shadows on a huge project called The Tormented Writers Society. What I wanted to do simply wouldn't fit in a course, and I think we're all pretty "coursed out" anyway. But what if I could teach different systems I have become an expert in, and relay that information to fellow writers in a way that made sense and applied to their business? That made much more sense. I wouldn't be "locked in" to any specific topic and could instead combine a bunch of different tech together to get mission-specific or task-specific goals accomplished for writers. For example, being able to generate 52 weeks of pins with the click of a button after importing 52 images, all with different looks, so you don't have to spend every single month creating Pinterest pins. You could do the same with Instagram. And any other social media. Right now I'm working on an automation version using video clips. You'll probably see something on that pretty soon in January. But I just wanted to hop on to let everyone know that the official group with all of the templates, full tutorials, and documentation on how to build some super cool automation builds is launching on January 7! Very excited! We'll still keep the free group even if it does cost me to keep it open. I think we need a free group to encourage questions, find out what writers need more help with, and as a place to see if they find value in what I'm providing to the group with the previews. Anyway, hope you join us all on January 7, and that we can build a big community of writers! For now, enjoy the free group and the content I've uploaded here so far. :)

What is The Tormented Writers Society About?
Welcome to The Tormented Writers Society, where we embrace the existential dread of that blinking cursor and transform it into something marginally less terrifying. Are you haunted by unfinished manuscripts? Do you spend more time reorganizing your desk than actually writing? Has your coffee consumption reached levels that concern medical professionals? Congratulations—you're one of us. We're (I'm) not here to fix your tormented soul (that's what therapy is for). Instead, we're (I'm) here to help with the practical demons that plague the modern writer: - Mastering Scrivener without sacrificing your firstborn to the software gods - Automating your digital life with Make and Airtable, because your creative energy shouldn't be wasted on mundane tasks - Creating scroll-stopping social media images without selling your artistic integrity to the algorithm (stop buying templates and hiring VAs because you'll get everything you need in the paid group) - Building and managing databases that actually make sense (unlike your plot timelines) - Crafting websites that won't make web designers weep into their mechanical keyboards with Elementor - Implementing cost-cutting strategies that don't involve living on instant noodles - Taming the social media beast without selling your literary soul - Managing your writing business without an MBA (or a mental breakdown) - Discovering productivity hacks that work even during mercury retrograde - Learning technical shortcuts that would make your luddite ancestors proud Join us, and learn from fellow writers who have stared into the abyss of a blank page and lived to tell the tale. We'll teach you to channel your torment into something more productive than stress-eating while staring at your laptop. Need writing accountability? All the members who join can help you with that. We're stronger together as a collective. The Tormented Writers Society: Because misery loves company, but company with practical technical skills is even better.
